Begin Again

This is a new remix of the first song I recorded with my brother Ant Pantone. Ant wrote the lyrics as well as recorded the vocals and drums. Here is a short introduction to the song written by Ant to provide some history.

I wrote this song in the 80's after an event in my life that had a lasting effect on me. It is a true story of what happened during some youthful indiscretion. A mistake I made and how it affected me, my wife, and my children. The title is: Pain In A Child's Eyes. John kept pushing me to tell my story through the song and we were finally able to finish it. It was a long time coming but still relevant in my life today. I hope you listen to the words and enjoy the song because I have seen the pain in a child's eyes.

Cindered Heart emerges from the sands and flames of a mystical realm, crafting a profound fusion of dark industrial synth, metal, and synth Pop that’s haunting, visceral, and deeply emotive. With over 15 years devoted to writing poetry and lyrics, and currently working on a theological fantasy book series, Cindered Heart creates a unique narrative with each track—a journey that taps into the primal and arcane.

Cindered Heart's soundscape is meticulously crafted through an arsenal of instruments and effects: the Access Virus C and Korg Radias synthesizers, FM8, and Absynth 5 VSTs blend in Cubase for an intricately layered production. Vocals undergo spectral transformations through voice changers and AI vocal processing, adding haunting layers to every performance.

Heavy basslines, deep drum sequencing, and intricate live beats from an Elektron Samples drum machine ground the music in a raw, rhythmic power. The Ovation Electric acoustic guitar, with virtual effects and sampler-based arpeggios, brings an intense, almost human quality to solos, weaving melodies that carry depth and grit.

Cindered Heart invites listeners into a ritualistic exploration of dark soundscapes, where every note, beat, and distorted guitar feels like a step into a hidden world of mysticism and release. It’s more than music; it’s an immersive alchemy, driven by years of poetic expression and storytelling.
