Since launching in 2018, Midnight Riot's gospel-fired "Take It To Church" compilation series has proved hugely popular, hence this third volume of re-edits, remixes and sample-heavy original productions. As usual, there's much to set the pulse racing from start to finish, with highlights including the jazz-funk fired soulful house bump of Opolopo's remix of "Follow Me" by Sense of Sound Singers, the gospel disco/disco-house fusion of Sarah Dash's "Something Inside (DJ Spen & Reelsoul Remix)", the rubbery goodness of Carlton Low's 1980s sounding "Peace, Love, Happiness", the gospel-boogie brilliance of Jack Tennis's filter-heavy "Won't You" and the gospel scalpel science that is Divine Situation's superb "Goin' On" re-edit.

This February The Disco Express welcomes aboard @monsieurvanpratt and @christosda-afro for the label's seventh EP, Funk Force. A follow up to January's solid XPRESS Edits release, Funk Force is one for the lovers of deep bass grooves and sultry guitar licks.

No stranger to delivering quality dance floor heat is Monsieur Van Pratt, kicking it up a notch with Funk Force. Boasting a righteous slapping bass line and choppy guitar loops, the EP's lead track will certainly invoke side effects of head banging and hip shaking... Neatly tied in with the equally funky, yet more soulful, Shoot The Shot the Super Spicy Records boss shows again his production expertise.

Swiftly following suit is fellow funk compatriot C.Da Afro with his deliciously exotic track Orange Juice. Steeped in Afro-Latin flavours, this uptempo piano house track exhibits a driving bass line, intricate percussion and catchy vocals... Rounding off the EP is Let's Do It. Geared up with gorgeous strings, piano combos and trumpet hooks this ever evolving groover oozes class, especially when the bass kick in. Essential.
