"Never Gonna Fall in Love Again (Like I Fell in Love With You)" is a tender love song written & performed by Paul Anka, originally released on his album “The Painter” in 1975. Paul Anka, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter, was a prolific artist who gained fame in the 1950s and sustained his popularity through the decades. His ability to craft memorable melodies and heartfelt lyrics contributed to his lasting legacy in the music industry.

Mike Allin & Ralph Tee, aka Diplomats Of Soul, teamed up with Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick and his legendary enterprise, Incognito, to rework this Soul classic in 2020. The gorgeous interpretation was topped off with the soulful vocals of chanteuse Vanessa Haynes and was released on Ralph’s long-standing & hugely respected Expansion Records.

Michele Mingo and Andrea Tonici, better known as Micky More & Andy Tee, are elite house music producers. Their extensive catalogue of remixes features iconic artists such as Incognito, Joey Negro, Miguel Migs, Jocelyn Brown, Barbara Tucker, Richard Earnshaw, and more. As founders and owners of the GROOVE CULTURE brand, they helm a record label synonymous with high-quality dance music, consistently topping the charts on Traxsource and other prominent platforms. They are the only Italian artists to have released three singles and a remix with Glitterbox, the renowned label and event series from Defected's London-based group. In the sultry haze of 1980, as disco was gasping its final breaths in America, something different was emerging in the UK underground — a kind of raw, funk-infused resilience. Mirage, a lesser-known but deeply resonant band, carved out one of those moments with “Summer Grooves.” Released under Flamingo Records, the track didn’t make waves in the mainstream — but that wasn’t the point. It was a signal, a pulse, from the heart of what would later be recognized as Brit funk: a working-class response to slick American R&B, with all the imperfections and urgency that made it real.
“Summer Grooves” doesn’t just play; it radiates — equal parts sweat and sunlight, groove and grit. The song became a cult relic, unearthed and revived decades later by selectors like Joey Negro in compilations like Backstreet Brit Funk, not out of nostalgia, but because certain sounds don’t age — they echo.
In a scene where many tracks faded into obscurity, this one stayed — sampled, remembered, and spun again by those who knew where the soul lived.
