Da Lukas: “The Real Thing E.P. is the result of a chance encounter in Palermo, my hometown. Everything starts back at the end of 2019, when I went to a show to see a band called “Smuggler Brothers”. I really enjoyed the sound and the influences, so I decided to buy their record, and, at the end of the show, I met the guys to have a little chat. In the upcoming days, I immediately started working on a song sampling a clavinet part from their first album. I called Roberto (guitar) to let him listen to the result, he liked it and he laughed, telling me that Giovanni (keyboards) wouldn't be too happy about someone “stealing” his music (haha)! In the end, Giovanni really liked the track! So, we met for a beer and started talking about our tastes in music and the different outlooks between a music producer and musicians. These tracks are the first result of the whole story, the encounter between our influences, funk/disco house, and 70s library music/soundtracks.
