Disco Bizarre releases "Free Love Vol. 1" - a charity compilation to save Berlin's legendary KitKat Club

On Friday July 3rd, Berlin's favorite funky crew Disco Bizarre releases Free Love Vol. 1, an album full of only original disco tracks. All profits go directly to KitKat Club - to help the space survive.

As most clubs in Berlin, KitKat Club is in serious financial difficulties. The continued closure and thus lack of income in combination with high fixed costs call for creative measures to ensure the survival of the famous fetish club. Since 2018, Disco Bizarre hosts the basement floor on Saturday's club night „Carneball Bizarre“. Over the years, the crew has expanded and added plenty of resident DJs to their roster. They also released their first Vinyl EP in 2019. Now, it's time to support the mothership with full energy with the first KitKat compilation ever - more are to follow! Enjoy 12 banging original disco tracks, created by the network surrounding Disco Bizarre, and support KitKat by buying it - it costs as much as one entry.

Disco Bizarre bringt "Free Love Vol. 1" heraus - eine Charity Compilation zur Rettung vom KitKat Club.

Am Freitag dem 3. Juli releast die Berliner Disco Bizarre Crew "Free Love Vol. 1", ein Album voller Originale - im typischen funky Gewand. Alle Erlöse gehen direkt an den legendären KitKat Club, um ihn in diesen Zeiten zu unterstützen.

Wie die meisten Berliner Clubs ist das Kitty in großen finanziellen Schwierigkeiten. Die andauernde Schließung und wegfallende Einnahmen verlangen nach kreativen Lösungen, um den berühmten Fetischclub am Leben zu halten. Seit 2018 betreut Disco Bizarre den Kellerfloor bei den Carneball Bizarre-Clubnächten, die Samstags stattfinden. Über die Jahre hat sich die Crew ausgeweitet, ein Roster mit Berliner Resident-DJs aufgebaut und 2019 sogar eine eigene Platte herausgebracht. Nun ist es an der Zeit das Mutterschiff Kitty mit voller Kraft zu unterstützen, und zwar mit der ersten Kitty-Compilation ever - es folgen noch mehr! Viel Spaß mit 12 original Disco Tracks, allesamt produziert von Talenten aus dem Disco Bizarre Netzwerk. Die gesamte Compilation kostet so viel wie ein Clubeintritt und unterstützt das Kitty direkt.

@bizarrebilly used to hang out with goths back in the days, admiring their style and dedication in their clear cultural focus, but also intimidated to feel guilty for also liking the things that gothic culture was originally opposed against: '80s pop and especially '70s disco. Nowadays these styles have so much more in common than they were ever in opposition for. So here's Billy's debut as a goth DJ, focusing mostly on the genre classics in their most bizarre remixes, but also adding related music that the goth scene may have missed hearing and serving it all up according to the extremily high standards of modern djing techniques, with harmonic transitions designed to sound like song structures themselves. So maybe it's just the kind of new fresh look that this music was waiting for, and it sure is a good way to introduce new generations to goth culture — just now in these days when NO FUTURE has a whole new meaning.
