"With a global upbringing, roots in San Francisco, & a current base in Los Angeles, Torie’s sound is eclectic to say the least. She interweaves elements of house, minimal, tech house, dark & driving techno, soulful melodies, & well, sometimes a breakbeat or a few – to tell a story through sound. She believes in the power of groove, and always plays with one goal in mind: to bring newfound life to the dancefloor.
She has performed with KiNK, Justin Martin, Maya Jane Coles, Tale of Us, Patrice Baumel, Marbs and Evan Casey of Desert Hearts, Rinzen, Dance Spirit, Eskuche, Marques Wyatt, Tycho, KMLN, Sabo, Justin Jay, Hoj, Kevin Knapp, Shiba San, Joeski and more. You may have seen her play with renowned crews like Space Cowboys, Distrikt, and Desert Hearts on DHtv, or on the festival circuit – including Outside Lands, EDC Las Vegas, Northern Nights Music Festival and Outside in Equinox.
As a core member of Inquiry Collective, artist with the Burning Man art car ICARUS, part of the Dusty Rhino crew, a resident DJ of You’re Welcome, and a co-founder of Dance With Haha, she draws inspiration from the dusty plains of the playa, the curious explorations of the Mojave desert, the underground dancefloors of SF, & the interstellar endeavors of ICARUS & its motley crew."
