Unfortunately the release has been delayed, which means I've been playing vinyl only for about a month. My buddy brought over his deck and we jammed for a few good hours. This set starts out at about 120 BPM and ends somewhere around 130 BPM, and is broken up into Part I and Part II. New and new to me tracks included. 2022-07-02 - Saturdazed

So, I haven't played in a while. Truthfully, haven't been feeling it. I've been more focused on sorting the over 20k tracks I have already than playing or buying more. I finally decided to break bread and the Beatport discount(thanks Beatport) gave me an ever-so-subtle nudge. This is a set of almost every track I just purchased. It's a little bit of everything. In case you are new here, that's what I like and do. Mixing genres. I feel pretty good about the set, overall. As with most of my sets, it's longer, and towards the end, I miss mixes more than in the beginning. Tonight it's mostly cuz this is all brand new music. I was setting cue points as I went. Also, another factor in my missed mixes is the fact I was trying new things. Maybe not new, but newer to me. I find myself wanting to take a sample of the incoming track, and mix feather it in. Sometimes I get so lost in this action I forget that I need to mix before the outgoing track hits outro beats. Anyway, check it out. Lemme know what you think. This is a collection of new music, along with some older music, but new to me. I spent quite a long time on Beatport curating this list of songs. The BPM starts out at about 123-125 and works its way up to about 135 and then back down. This is the 1st time I've really made a conscious effort to build the set up and then back down. I'm really dialing in the sounds I am looking for in music, and it has to feed my soul for it to make my list. One of the most important criteria I judge a tune by is, *does this track make me involuntarily move?* If it doesn't make me feel it inside of myself, then it doesn't make my list. I'm finding the tracks that do make my list, all have a similar component, deep, throaty, funky B.A.S.S. drums. I typically steer clear of the super repetitive beats with little to no deep bass kicking. I hope you like what I've done here. Feel free to comment, I read them all. This is a a quick set I threw down after Easter dinner. It's not too long as I was kind of tired and ready to hit the sack. The music is some newer, some older jams. I didn't have a list of jams in mind. I hit the *all audio* folder and started making my way through it. I've been trying to work on smoothing out the transitions. Listening to guys like Dave Gluskin, Paul Sanatana, Bombtraxx, and their smooth, almost unnoticeable mixes makes me want to be better there. It's a lot harder than it seems. Getting digital with It  - Part II

So, they call me a DJ, but in my mind, I haven't earned that title, yet. In my world, I am just a regular dude who has always loved all kinds of music. I never ventured to the playing side of the music scene, but I was the guy with 2 tape decks(cassettes were so cool) sitting on the coffee table, high-speed dubbing for myself and my friends. Electro & Breaks are my preferred genres.  I'm from the Old Skool Era when the only music choices were Trance, House, and Techno. Miami B.A.S.S. and this dude named ICEE changed all of that for me.
