When Henrik Schwarz heard the music from Johannes Brecht he knew now was the time to reactivate his label SUNDAY-MUSIC again that hasnt released a record in quite a while now. Johannes is a wonderful musician that plays bass and keyboards and also writes music for orchestra. When a classically trained musician looks into electronic music and manages to bring together the best of both worlds the result can be very exciting. On this EP are 3 tracks that show his versatility and musicality. HOLLA is a beautiful deep monster with one of those touching synth lines that you dont want to ever stop, PEOPLE is a jacking house track that bursts of energy and BOB shows that Johannes also can leave his fingerprint in a more minimalistic environment.

Not one to revel too much in the limelight, Johannes Brecht prefers to ply his trade in the shadows - fitting for his oceandeep productions. The Stuttgart native marks his first outing on Steve Bug's inimitable Poker Flat Recordings with an exceptionally atmospheric EP sure to make it's mark with the deeper end of the DJ fraternity.

Around 2001, getting into the millennium, Miki Gonzalez, began the research and production work behind the album Inka Beats. The album consists of a remarkable - anthropological - work of recording and compiling agriculture ritual music from rural communities in the Peruvian Andes. This was organically mixed with electronic beats which made indigenous music available to a wider audience. The album was officially published in 2004 and was an absolute innovation leading the way for all the new wave of music that would emerge later in Latin America.

This album was pioneer in many ways. The record sales had an unexpected commercial success. And also it was the first Andean electronic music fusion album in South America. Miki Gonzalez 21 years later and with more than 50 years of experience, 16 studio albums and a continuous artistic activity, teams up with Matraca label to present “Inka Beats revisitado”. The tracks here have been re-work by contemporary Peruvian artists of the highest level such as Dengue Dengue Dengue, Tribilin Sound, Pawkarmayta, Orieta Chrem, Israel Vich and Lara Nuh. The art is an original piece from Peruvian multimedia artist Yerko Zlatar.

The noise rattled within the jungle. The green leaves bounced in time with the beat as nature sprung to life in the morning sunshine. The damp rose between the trees turning to steam in the heat of the morning glow as wildlife scattered between the beanstalks. The sky was a dreamy shade of pink but it would soon be blue, much like the waters which surrounded the tropical island. This was paradise and a place called home.

It is with much delight that we are able to premiere an exclusive new track from Superpitcher on Hippie Dance. Keep an eye out for more Hippie Dance affiliated content in the coming weeks. That's a hint.
