Playing this set meant a lot to us. It’s about using adversity as the fuel to ignite. Burn it down, so we can rise up even higher. It’s about the beauty of embracing impermanence, knowing that nothing lasts but nothing is lost. And in the end, it’s about LOVE. Having grown up in North East Philly (Mayfair), summer block parties were always a thing. This mixtape is something I've been wanting to do ever since I learned how to Dj 10 years ago. It's a collection of my parents records and digital tunes that made me think of those block parties that I looked forward to with bittersweetness, when our block had our party, school was just around the corner. With a month left in this summer, let's really soak it up and make the most of it with loved ones! I hope this mix brings you as much joy and fun as putting it together brought me.
