This ninth outing is packing fire with regular TTW providers such as Paper Street Soul kicking things off with a slab of post-punk electronica on 'Notes On You'. Picotropico has been drinking the same kool aid with the Talking Heads-esque 'Inmovil feat. Sima Itayim'.
 
If low-slung-chuggy-psych-acid-house is your bag then we've got you covered by Dan Wainwright, Coy Dog and James Rod who each crank up the ALFOS-o-meter to 11. House with disco tendencies gets fully represented here by Define, Gina D, Processman, J Kara, Dastardly Bounder and Flying Mojito Brothers who all guarantee a session kicking up dust on the dance floor.

Other Paper and TTW firm members The Secret Soul Society and Andy Buchan go for a housier hat throw into the ring on 'D For Damaga' and 'Road To Barca' whilst Jahn Solo drops an ultimate end of night feel good anthem on 'Dance For Me'.

NYC leftfield disco darlings Phenomenal Handclap Band made their first appearance on RNT by way of a collab with JKriv in 2022, and now they return for an offering all their own, the Burning Bridges EP. The title track is a groundbreaking hypnotic post-disco pop gem, and Prins Thomas turns the tempo knob up a few clicks and launches into an extended interstellar  excursion with his remix. On the B side the cinematic slow burner ‘It Was The Summer’ begins sparse and hazy and builds to a driving peak of backbeat rhythm and an insistent vocal soliloquy. Each Other (Justin Strauss & Max Pask) then take the tune straight to the rave with arpeggiated and acidic synths, recasting the haunting vocals as a modern New Wave anthem.

TSTD EDITS 03: You Abandoned Me (Dave Mathmos Interpretation)

Like many of the most recognizable names on the re-edit and nu-disco scenes, Sasha Mitich AKA Mitiko has served up a steady stream of rock solid EPs over the last few years. His latest is typically groovy, atmospheric and floor-friendly with a quartet of killer cuts to get the juices flowing. Opener "Back To Dance" is a lolloping mid-tempo revision of gnarled swamp-funk groover rich in crunchy guitars and hazy horns, while "I Love Your Body" is a deliciously synth-heavy romp through delay-laden drum machine hits, chiming mid-80s melodies, bubbly bass and echoing vocal snippets. Mitich successfully switches mood and tempo on the thrusting Sylvester revision "I Who Have No One" before finishing on a high via the Jam & Lewis style '80s power-pop-soul of closing cut "The Power of Woman".
