Quality mix.  Transitions were really good, music was right up my alley.  If I'm being picky, I would have liked a bit more of a climax/buildup, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.  8/10

Good mix so far! Music was for my taste a lil too harmless and so is the blending. Decently made but too harmless. Great dramaturgy and variety in track selection ... 7/10

Tight mixing, but a bit cold, this mix. I like my house a bit more warm :)

I can agree on the lack of dynamic here. Felt more like a late night radio show till a certain point where the acid popped like to save the situation :)) Selection was very fine for my taste, but the certain stiffness in the mixing style didn't get my going until the end of the mix. I think a 7 goes out of my pocket with the wish towards the creator to be more daring in the mixing action.

Great deepness. Some ask for more dynamics, but for me the way this grooves is just right. Mind the gains though, the volume differences were a bit disturbing. 8.5/10

This is a very lovely mix containing a good selection of deep tracks. I also liked how the mix progressed from very dreamy to some more danceable records at the end. The technique is good, although I did feel that the tranistions didn't always elevate the listening experience as much as possible. I guess that's what the first reviewer referred to as harmless. Also although there's not a single bad track here, nothing really stood out for me until Omar-S at the end. Therefore ***1/4 out of *****

Falling From Grace

It's New Year's Eve 2014 and we have just managed to get to our 30th episode thanks to the handy-work of Kammerton (real name Stepan Chernov), a diverse musical talent who hails from the Russian city of Ulyanovsk, located on the Volga River 900 kilometres east of Moscow. Now living in Moscow, Stepan is an accomplished pianist, kapellmeister (chapel master/director of a choir), electronic music producer, DJ, sound engineer, sound designer for films & cartoons and he also runs the video podcast www.friendly-vibes.com, which is as he puts it: "for all lovers of warm groove and high spirits".

Stepan has played at many clubs across central Russia and has held residencies at Moscow clubs Shanti and Propaganda and also on RTS.FM Moscow. He first caught our interest with his slick production work, most notably the amazing Take Me For Granted EP from 2012 that was released on Housewax, from which the track "A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats" was played on Avenue Red Radio show 004: https://soundcloud.com/avenue-red/radio-show-004. This mix is a mega deep, dark and groovy session of mysterious House and Techno, with lots of new music featured. Crank it on at high volume for your NYE celebrations, and be sure to download a copy... you may find that this mix really grows on you!

"This mix is written spontaneously, one Sunday evening. I felt the need to unwind and leave the house. Quickly gathering my DJ bag, I went to a nice friendly bar in my home town of Ulyanovsk where I could play at any time. The venue did not want anything too active and energetic, the more so because it was Sunday, so I played deep and groovy styles. In recent times, I have found that I absolutely do not want to drink alcohol and I have been getting into different tea drinks, such as oolong.
