Time to welcome the return of Echonomist to TAU, as the prolific Greek producer comes through with a four track selection from his audio lab. Echonomist exudes versatility, with a discography that includes a wide range of styles, demonstrating his ability to explore different genres with confidence and flair. His last appearance on TAU was a collab with the label heads Adana Twins which hit No.1 in the Beatport Indie Dance chart. He’s also recently been releasing with Innervisions, as well as Kompakt. Echonomist has honed his sound, striking a delicate balance between emotion and rhythm, injecting authentic feeling into unadulterated dance floor moments...

The EP kicks off with the title track, ‘Get Closer’, a cut that features a heavy-hitting drum arrangement which sounds organic - like a live drum kit. A minute into the track and a heartwarming melody floats in, Echonomist adding layers of synth to increase the deep feeling. With the hefty beats, it’s a highly effective combination that is sure to rouse dance floors into wild abandon when the clubs open up...

Next up is ‘Pothos’ (featuring Mr. Lookman on the guitar), another cut that merges a live band feel with electronic influences. The extended intro feels like a live on stage jam with guitarists and drummers hyping up the crowd. At just over 2 minutes 30, Echonomist introduces vintage synths, which take us back in time a few decades. As the track progresses, his playful approach produces electrifying moments of tension and release that make this one a special cut indeed.

Then we have two versions of ‘Death Goes To Disco’ (featuring Phunkadelica) to close the EP. The first mix works off a classic disco rhythm, hypnotic, almost narcotic in its spellbinding effect. A gentle build up guides us into the main body of the cut, with a retro style robotic vocal and subtle flourishes of sound to embellish the disco foundation. Giorgio Moroder would be proud.

Lastly, the second version of ‘Death Goes To Disco’ brings us to the end. The ‘Phunkadelica Acid I Love You Mix’ adds a squelchy acid lick to the cut, with high energy drops, booming drums and retaining the dramatic atmosphere of the original. An awesome accompaniment to the original, for those who love a slice of TR-303 (who doesn’t?!).

As we mentioned before, Siamese will not just be a platform for beautiful music but should also a playground for different kinds of art. As you might have already noticed, our artworks are images of hand-crafted pieces and with this Various Artists EP we are taking things one step further. Every track gets its very own artwork and all four artworks will be included as 30x30cm sized prints inside the first run of the vinyl!

The A1 cut 'Something In Between‘ by ourselves is starting off this EP. Right about one year ago when we worked on a first attempt of our debut album we didn’t quite came to an end a few tracks stayed with us. This is one of them and we felt the intro character of it is a good way to lead into this series. 

A2 is delivered by our close friend and partner Lehar who teamed up with Olderic, a respected DJ, producer and promoter from north Italy who is around since quite a while (check out his Cirq club in Venice). Their contribution 'Il Sole' follows the melodic route initiated by 'Something In Between'. 

On the flip side we finally get the chance to introduce Shiffer, a young and very talented musician from Basel. 'Drunk On Hope' demonstrates groove, emotion, depth and much more that makes it the perfect pick for B1. Watch out for more to come from him on Siamese!

Closing the EP on B2 is ‚Monkey Mind‘ by Toto Chiavetta. 2016 was a great year for Toto, what an awesome album on Yoruba followed by a trippy-afro-house Record on Innervisions. 'Monkey Mind' continues exactly there, straight forward Groove without any compromises.

Not many people knew that Magdalena has been part of the Diynamic family since the very beginning, but initially chose to remain in the background. For long years she used to run the label’s renowned EGO club in Hamburg, getting acquainted with every aspect that was essential to a good party. With constant contact to the scene’s most prolific artists, she soon discovered her desire to get behind the decks, using the early-morning after parties at her club prove her talent. After starting her own regular night there, word got out and her calendar began filling up with bookings at Europe’s most renowned underground clubs, as well as worldwide Diynamic Showcases and Festivals. 

As she is someone who always puts in 100%, it was obvious that she could only pursue one of her passions - EGO was closed at the height of its success. What remains is the annual EGO AIR, an outdoor event series in summer that she hosts in her hometown Hamburg. 

Magdalena’s past as a booker and club manager might have given her those crucial skills that every DJ needs: knowing what the people want, reading them and reacting to their needs, while simultaneously directing those needs in a path that you have laid out for the night. Or maybe she’s just a natural. 

Her musical taste, along with the distinct mixture of sociability and serenity in her character are amongst the reasons why she is so popular on Ibiza – 2016 saw her first very own residency on the White Isle along with a regular radio show on Ibiza Sonica Radio called “Magdalena’s Pony Farm” - a reference to her “ponies”, the group of party girls that accompany her at every party and after party she visits. 

Magdalena is a long time friend of the Mobilee crew and debuts on their sister label Leena Music with a three track ep that reflects her musical talents perfectly.

French artist, Clawz SG, returns to Steyoyoke Black with his new release, the Andromeda EP. Featuring two original tracks and two remixes, he transcends his distinctive sound; reaching for the ever-expanding boundaries of space. Venturing through darker tones and atmospheres, we let our imaginations be guided into zones of jubilation and curiosity.
The title track, “Andromeda”, pictures us moving through the constellations with the galaxies resembling the sheer awe of the wonder that is presented in the music. Next, “Hydrus” creates a spiral of energy, our minds begin to dart between the stars, sending us into a frenzy. Darko Milosevic offers his remix of “Andromeda”, its sounds warping and expanding mimicking the confines of the cosmos. Lastly, we receive a remix of “Hydrus” from Italian artist Erly Tepshi. He propels the already incredible original into new frontiers with its masterful reimagining.

Exclusive Jepe feat. Evelynka 'Ready When You Are (Phunkadelica Remix)'

A simple thesis leads to genius results. Portuguese but Berlin-based producer Jepe returns to Engrave Ltd with his track 'Ready When You Are' featuring vocals from Evelynka, which not only comes with the original version but also remixes from co-label owner Musumeci and Phunkadelica. The latter start their remix approach with a grandiose almost majestical symphony catching the listener's attention right away to then press the reset button and have a second preamble, namely Phunkadelica release a lush bass line, which are shortly after enriched with creaking synth chords add an almost ravish- electro vibe to the track and Evelynka's vocals that complement an irresistable sweaty club-touch. But if one thinks the duo's remix take is heading into exactly this direction is on the wrong track. Those slight ravey moments are taken over by a synth-pad sequence that brings in a melodic-note that the duo purposely neglected in the first place to precisely create this moment of inner deliverance and finding relief in the harmony before the track returns to its musical origins and emphasizes the interplay of creaking chords and vocals over a driving bass line.

Jepe's EP 'Ready When You Are' will be released on Engrave Ltd on November 15th, 2019.
