90's pop-dance version of Van Halen's hit 'Why Can't this be love'. Produced. arranged & remixed by DiSCOKiNGZ Paul Fitzgerald & Steve Buxey way back in 1998. Lead & backing vocals by the lovely Lucy Jules. We flew Lucy from London to Edinburgh then drove her to Dundee just so she could make this record! This is the first time that this track has ever been available to stream online. Real positive vibe here - It's Happiness in a jar! Stuart Firm was the audio engineer at Seagate Studios, Dundee. Fantastic vocalist called Lucy Jules performed lead vocals here*. Met producers/remixers 'Tin Tin Out' whilst they were recording with Emma Bunton in Metropolis Studios, London, in 1996. Kindly, they offered me a couple of synth sounds to use on this track. Written by Paul while he was living in Maida Vale, London in the mid 90's. Produced by Paul Fitzgerald & Steve Buxey, written by Paul Fitzgerald.

Dundee born Paul Fitzgerald and Steve Buxey are DiSCOKiNGZ. Scottish songwriters, producers, music-producers & remixers active since the early 1990s. Paul began his early music career leading local band 'American Excess', gaining financial support from 'The Princes Trust', the band gained a front-page newspaper headline story & TV appearances on ITV, before Paul  teamed-up with Radio 1 Pete Tong's recommended album of the week producer 'ILS' on project 'HyperActive', gaining TV coverage on BBC TV's 'Dance Energy House Party'. A name change to 'DV8' and teaming up with Stephen Buxey, spawned a mix (DV8 Deviant mix) of X-Files, which become a worldwide chart hit, the disco-duo then recorded a follow-up single with Dundee's 'Alexa' (Mary's Prayer) which was released globally & featured on numerous hits compilation albums. DiSCOKiNGZ have also collaborated with 'Enigma's (Sadness Part 1) Boris Gregorian, PWL's Tony King & a host of other known musicians, including 'STEPS' Claire Richards, Lucy Jules (George Michael), Billie Godfrey (Beverley Knight/'Take That'), 'Sigue Sigue Sputnik' front-man Martin Degville and the original soul diva Angie Brown ('Bizarre Inc.'&'JX'), even Paul O'Grady's incarnation as 'Lilly Savage' wasn't immune to a teaming-up with DiSCOKiNGZ on a charity single for homeless charity 'Shelter' featuring Denise Van Outen & The Gladiators, Paul Fitzgerald also featured in the promo video for the single which was filmed at the Big Breakfast Channel 4 studios in London. DiSCOKiNGZ are currently working on a track featuring the very talented Kit Clark of 'Danny Wilson' & 'The Swiss Family Orbison'.
