To kick off the New Year, we welcome our good friend Loxley AKA J Caprice residing in Dallas, Texas to the podcast as he graces us with a smooth, groovy downtempo mixtape to keep the vibes thick!

Dallas, TX resident Loxley aka J.Caprice is an established, seasoned veteran in the global electronic music scene as a producer and DJ with an expansive catalog of both remix and original works. Originally hailing from Indiana, J.Caprice’s musical roots centered around experimenting with percussion and as a vocalist, gaining him opportunities to perform locally, nationally, and internationally. His early understanding of music composition and time signature led him to embark on what would become a lifelong love affair with the turntables, beginning his DJ career in 1996. Once he set foot behind the decks, J.Caprice never looked back; it’s been an exciting and enjoyable ride since.

J.Caprice co-owned Juiced Music from 2009 to 2015 and Home Again Digital Recordings, or 'H.A.R.D.', from 2011 to 2015, two of underground dance music’s premier record labels known for consistency, pushing boundaries, and releasing quality house music to the international market. Following the successful launch of Simplistic Music Company in September 2017, J.Caprice has stacked the roster with a dynamic set of artists producing various shades of downtempo, ambient, deep house, lounge, and instrumental releases both for the listener and for its sister collective Simplistic Yogi. Simplistic Music Co has rapidly established its position as a household name in indie downtempo and ambient releases, frequently appearing in Traxsource’s featured releases and Essentials.

@BenSpaldingOfficial is a highly creative DJ, Producer, Record Label Owner and the man behind PuzzleProjectsGroup - which includes @PuzzleProjectsMusic, @PuzzledParties and several other highly progressive underground brands.

A Londoner now based in Oslo, Norway, Ben has managed & performed at music events in 35 countries over the last decade including Coachella Festival in California. 

Musically, Ben grew up on a diet of motown, soul and disco from his Mum and classical music via his Dad, while in his teenage years he discovered the raw power of hip hop and drum’n’bass. His 20s were then a riot of disco, house and techno. All of these flavours coalesce into his current output and the eclectic sounds that emerge from his record abel @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as bookings for him as a solo act and @PuzzledParties shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

While his 2020 touring schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Plans are in place for the summer and winter of 2021, which will see him go on a USA, Mexico & Canada tour followed by a debut tour in South America and return tour of Asia and many more locations to be confirmed.

2021 sees Ben release multiple high energy, peak-time orientated house and techno music with renowned Berlin-based musician & co-producer @RonaldChristoph - kicking off with ‘The Ego Death’ EP in April 2021.
