This eighth version sorts out some clashing, and adds a harmonic guitar near the start of the coda to keep the interest going.  A vintage effect is applied on some vocals, and big reverb on some vocals near the end.  And an altered bass guitar sound.

Letters to Santa [instrumental, version 3]

Somewhere Always is the first single from Disconnectica's upcoming debut album Eclectic Dystopia.  Reminiscent of Beatles, Bowie or early Pink Floyd, but also not quite like anything.  The track blends harp, sitar, chipmunk vocals and walkie-talkie sounds with more conventional instruments to create a mystical baroque pop concoction.  The vocal style and use of augmented fifths keep it a little unsettling.

Listeners were reminded of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, ELO and Cat Stevens.

Thought Bubble is one of my most experimental tracks, and the second single from my upcoming debut album Eclectic Dystopia. It delves into the power of imagination and the allure of escapism. A person lost in their thoughts, creating an idyllic world to enshrine the object of their desire, leaving reality behind. Till it all comes crashing down.

I came up with the verse and chorus separately, then realised they belonged together. The climactic ending was added later to develop the theme and bring it to a conclusion. I often write from another character's perspective, and here it's a character with a lot of hubris. I like the idea of an obscure artist singing “Don't you know who I am?”

The vocals are cryptic and menacing, and the accelerating 7/8 beat gives the feeling of always falling forward. A sparse arrangement at the start builds gradually to a cataclysmic finale. There are shades of Radiohead, Bowie and Nine Inch Nails. The music video received a Special Mention Laurel from the United Kingdom Music Video Festival 2023.

A Christmas song with a difference. Sure, it sounds like Christmas. There's harp, bells, and beautiful operatic vocals by Naomi Summers. It even has Santa in the title. But the lyrics never mention Christmas. Instead they're about being on hold, waiting to leave a complaint for some faceless but ever-so-polite corporation, and hoping your message will reach someone who matters. Not a song you want to hear on your birthday! Kindest Regards is an alt-rock, art rock, prog rock, bat-shit crazy experiment in two halves, with an unconventional song structure and uncommon time signatures.

“Bonkers” - Johnny Normal, Big Satsuma Radio (UK)

The first half is psychobilly post-punk chaos, with a cacophonous chorus assulting our senses.

The second half is a complete departure. Baroque pop reminiscent of ELO or Beatles, with lush strings and richer harmonics.
