To give you some inside information about our new Summer track from our upcoming EP '1991':
Fact 1: The voice on our track is from our close friend Miss Bunty, who is one of the best house vocalists we know. It was an honour to work with her. The first time we saw her perform was during the NOW&amp;WOW period in Rotterdam when we were youngsters. And now 10 years later we decided to go back in time for another 10 years to join forces.
Fact 2: We originally made this track at the start of last years summer.

Eats Everything &amp; Worthy - Tric Trac

The new single, Always, is already one of the highlights of the live show. Always is a skittering mid tempo track which draws on Submotion’s dubstep roots but also incorporates elements of scat singing and melodic keys. Vocalist Ruby Wood is as ever on supreme form, aided and abetted by Simon Beddoe’s atmospheric horn parts and Taz Modi’s shimmering keys, all performed over Doms electronics and the rock solid rhythms served up by Tommy, Danny and Fatty. The whole thing is deftly put together by a group of musicians who have the confidence and ability to know just how much to put in, and just as importantly how much to leave out.

In the remix department we have Laxx who skews the beats and delivers a mix where the emphasis is most decidedly on dub. Laxx, aka Jamie Churchill, is a DJ and producer from Oxford. He has been played by some of the biggest names in Dubstep, including N Type, Emalkay, Jack Sparrow, Ruckspin and Walsh, and been involved in remixes for artists and DJs like Hadouken and Kissy Sellout 


Also stepping in to complete the musical package is Synkro with a more minimally inspired version, which is both hypnotic and haunting. Synkro has proved himself a force to be reckoned over the last twelve months, releasing on labels such as Exit (Mosaic Music EP), Blackout Music and Med School (New Blood). Major support for Synkro has come from names like dBridge, Instra:mental, ASC, Chris Coco, Giles Peterson, Brendon Moeller, Mary Anne Hobbs, London Electricity, Kasra & many more. 


Always (Laxx remix)

For the sign-industry n°2, Electric rescue (cocoon, boysnoize, sci+tec, etc …) propose 2 techno bombs, Dope and Open Fire Accompanied  by a Dope break beat to electronica version epic and sentimental.

A1 - Dope is a balearic techno monster combines elegant detroit techno sounds to the groove of the biggest tech house hits.

B1 - Open fire is the second techno weapon made in Rave but could make any club dance floor becoming crazy. This track is on one hand totally ravy but also totally open minded and unifier

Those 2 tracks totally fits to the underground profil from the artist but can also burn any eclectique dance floor.

For Renaissance Man's first single off their Turbo debut LP, we've assembled a team of remixers whom we felt could live up to the playful intelligence of the original. The result is a pack befitting one of the best electronic albums of the year, a MENSA-level dissection of contemporary dance music that builds on the Finnish duo's previous releases on Dubsided, Sound Pellegrino and Made to Play.

 

To begin with, we enlisted a personal hero of the Renaissance Man boys - legendary producer Herbert - who offers up a subtle, atmospheric take, adding his own vocals and introducing an esoteric pop sensibility. Scottish producer (and Thom Yorke name-checkee) Sei A checks in with a hypnotic techno groove bomb. UK vet Paul Woolford strikes a balance between wobble acid and melodic piano hooks. Hot Turbo prospects Gingy & Bordello create a slow-burner that straddles the horse that rides between ambient and banger. Finally, we've also included an instrumental version that gives the track's unsung heroes - the instruments - a chance to shine.

**DISCO OF DOOM**

Glastonbury, Glade Festival and Electric Picnic all felt the power of ‘Doom during 2009, with headline slots on Arcadia Spectacular’s phenomenal After Burner rig. These three gigs alone saw them perform to in excess of eight thousand people. Add to this a steady stream of club gigs in the UK and Europe, headlining The Greatest Show On Earth on New Years Eve in Bristol all backed up with a release schedule of gargantuan proportions and the stage is set for 2010 to be the Year of Doom.

Three seminal EPs - The Click (Passenger Records) Warpig (Coco Machete) and In Effect (Gung Ho!) - the latter going straight in at no. 5 in the DMC Buzz Chart - have drawn enthusiastic support from a mixed bag of DJs such as AutoKratz, Etienne De Crecy, Alex Metric, DJ Zinc, Doorly, Fake Blood, Mason, Rex The Dog through to Pete Tong, Groove Armada, Axwell, The Crystal Method and many more.

On the remix front, the duo have been busy tearing apart artists like Diddy (Interscope), Crookers, (Southern Fried) James Yuill (Moshi Moshi), Kele (Witchita) Silver Columns (Moshi Moshi), David E Sugar (Sunday Best) Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Etienne De Crecy (Pixadelic), Swen Webber (Taste/d) and many more.Their recent remix of Buckfunk 3000’s classic High Volume (Future Perfect) drew support on UK national radio support on Radio 1 from Toddla T and Annie Nightingale whilst their rework of early 90’s rave classic ‘Close Your Eyes’ by Acen has one support from Kissy Sell Out, Toddla, Fatboy Slim and many more.

Gig-wise, 2010 has already seen them smash peak time Springten Festival (Austria), Glastonbury Festival, Razzmatazz (Barcelona) Progress (Czech Republic) and with plenty more dates and a new single on the horizon for release on Gung-Ho! Watch out for Disco Of Doom tearing up a dance floor near you soon.
