the 100 release on insectorama. we're celebrating this with a large 83 tracks dubtechno compilation. this is episode 1 of 4 of the compilation with the first 20 tracks. A big thank you to all the artists who made this compilation possible with their wonderful tracks. and of course a huge thank you to everyone who has supported my label over the years. I never thought that there would be the 100 release when I started the label in 2006. and i would also like to thank all artists who have released their music on my label over the years. now lean back and relax and enjoy dubtechno in all its facets and forms. music is the only answer.

Closing Ghosttown’s release year, GTX02 extends the label’s newly established, experiment- focused series. Berlin-based iarna offers a deeply personal sound-narrative: emotional reflections on Romania, moving between brutalist cityscapes and fog-soaked mountain views.

„sitting in the passenger set, seeing endless transitional spaces, electricity, pylon speeking through the fog, potholes, unfinished brick houses, newly built orthodox churches, abandoned gas stations & factories, grassland plots for sale, arriving in the city, visiting relatives in concrete apartment complexes, eating warm soup, playing video games hanging out in courtyards & parking lots, driving to the mountains, walking through rainy forests, having fever dreams in ancient overnight trains, experiencing the full range of human emotions“

„Periferia“ is a collection of soundscape sequences, processing these themes, emotions & memories. The resulting sonic ambience is embellished with samples and drum patterns inspired by genres like idm, dancehall, trip-hop, breakcore and jungle, albeit merged and re- contextualised.

Introducing [GIFKIKKER011]. The debut of Blossoms Overnight, that sits you down in a euphoric, soft-tinted atmosphere from the get-go. While vibrant scapes get interwoven, accessed, or accompanied by smooth percussion, the listener is exposed to the act of exploring sounds underneath what’s already there.

Metaphorically, this album is cleansing, as foam gliding over a windshield in a brush-style carwash, resembling crashing sea waves as seen from underwater. It prescribes a mesmerizing softness and dense relaxation, while the mind and soul are carelessly taken on a sweet ride through dubby hypnoticness with breaky features.

Topping off this stellar release is a beautiful remix by a. brehme, aligning with the inner feel of the EP.
