COHN's latest EP, "Wine and Reason," delves into the enigmatic realm of Cosmic House, halfway between indie dark disco and Balearic house. This EP weaves a narrative of nostalgia and pulsating energy resulting in a cathartic blend of dancefloor killers. All the 3 tracks are a deep dive into 80s-inspired sounds, intricate percussion, and a seamless fusion of electronic elements perfected by COHN's unique touch.
Wine and Reason opens with La Salita, probably the most DJ-friendly tracks of the EP with its heavy load of groovy percussion. The M1 synths and percussion-heavy composition harken back to the '80s era, while a darker bassline adds a clubby and almost Italo House atmosphere. This newbeat-ish bass really makes the identity of the track which serves as an invigorating introduction to the rest of the EP..
The 2nd track "For Reason," sounds like a sonic time capsule that transports listeners back to the vibrant era of early electronic music. COHN used his skills to create a masterful blend of classic sounds and contemporary production techniques. The throbbing basslines, combined with ethereal synths, create a dancefloor-ready bomb that resonates with both balearic enthusiasts and darker indie dance aficionados.
Closing the EP is "Worthy of the Weather," a track that showcases COHN's versatility in electronic music. Beyond The Struttosphere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs combining their considerable musical production experience with an insatiable passion for cosmic chugging dark disco.

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. True to its name, the lead track evokes an epic space voyage propelled by driving arpeggiators, chunky layered percussion, high-octane guitar hits and the signature BTS chug bassline.

The tune progresses into a tectonic breakdown heightened by
spacey Juno chords before launching into a dynamite crescendo that burns contrails through the atmosphere.

Remixes are provided by two bastions of the scene: Mexican dark wave star
Vongold introduces lustful celestial vocals into the mix, dialling down the tempo, and repurposing the track into a post-punk acid chugger that takes no prisoners. French dark disco connoisseur Badknife applies his masterful touch with a second remix, cranking up the throb and deploying interstellar synth arrangements that will have you reaching for your seatbelt.

The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come.

The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset.

The EP concludes with ‘Storming Heaven’, a sonically charged acid trip that adventures through the cosmos, guided by a weighty chugging bass, a psychedelic 303 line, tripped out guitar chords and an array of cosmic FX. The tune traverses two mystical breakdowns before ascending into stratospheric planes with a euphoric synth sequence and a staggering guitar solo courtesy of long-time BTS collaborator Stannard Procedure. PREMIERE : Beyond The Struttosphere - Satellite Cities Feat. Miss Zagato

Home for artists of the likes of, just to name a few, In Flagranti, Eliezer, Curses, Roe Deers (SXDNS138), Claap!, and Golden Bug, one of the label bosses by the way, the Paris-based outlet La Belle Records wide opens its doors once again for the Spanish virtuoso Carlos Calderón aka Azaria. After his well-received appearance on the third installment of the VA series “One Night Stands”, Carlos comes back with his very first EP on the acclaimed French imprint. For the occasion, he partnered with the rising & shining Venezuelan producer, singer, songwriter, composer, and DJ Andrea Lacoste. “Hexagrama”, the result, is an eclectically delicious five-track journey through the many an influence of the duet – and yeah: all originals!

Named after the cultural expression Jayeechi (a sometimes-guttural singing that seems like a groan, a lament) of the Wayúu ethnic group of the Guajira Peninsula in the northernmost part of Colombia and northwest Venezuela, the track premiered here brings ancestry and tradition to the dance floor through upbeat percussive elements, emotional synth leads, and stunning vocals sung on Wayuunaiki. Magnificent!

Its been a hell of a ride on the swinging glitter ball of the modern music scene for BOYS' SHORTS of late. The Greek duo, made up of former superstar music blogger Vangelis and electronic artist Tareq, have enjoyed a positive and productive couple of years since exploding from the islands armed with a wealth of exciting new music.

Today they make their Pets debut with the wonderful ‘Peaches & Pools’ EP. A collection of well oiled heaters, bold in balearia and backed by two equally naughty reworks from Cooper Saver and Longhair. Dip your toes into a sonic oasis of sunshine vibes and lounging sounds on title track 'Peaches & Pools’, then slide into the sunset with the melodic keys and bassline groove of 'Wrapped In Memories', before hitting the dancefloor to the cosmic cowbell and throbbing synth line of 'Tricks She Said’. 

Cooper Saver goes poolside to planetary with the first of two reworks of the title track. Firing us back in time on a stunning ride of warm bass, broken beats and cascading water. What is a Dirty Banana? It’s a tasty cocktail that blends ingredients like rum, Kahlúa and banana liqueur. But who the hell are the Dirty Bananas? The name masks a Viennese duo consisting of DJ Cut Ex (Urbs & Cutex) and Addy-F (3MinutenEi). The two producers dug deep in the crates to create a delicious recipe, incorporating the finest Disco flavors from the 70s & 80s. In a lucky turn of events, six of their cuts made their way to Luv Shack Records a couple of months ago; thus, the Cocktails EP was born.
The EP opens with “No Lie”, a low slung, cheerful synth-funk jam that feels a bit like a lost B-Side from a certain furry Italian edit duo.
“Melody” takes notes from a beloved oddball jazz funk classic, while maintaining the boogie flavor with plenty of machine drums, synth bass and a perfectly quirky lead solo to boot. On “Draft”, the Bananas ramp up the tempo to unleash a short but tasty disco stomper with extra crispy drums. The laid back, percussion heavy disco chugger “Gentle Breeze” comes packed with an extra portion of familiar samples and chopped up drums, while “I’m U” takes a leftfield disco classic, and, in a no-nonsense approach, loops the hell out of it while blending it with a more moody sample.
Lastly, “Fairmax” circles around a jazzy organ melody on top of a
super-dry, yet punchy drum-machine loop. What a shockingly delicious journey!

Our third @editamusic release is once again an edit of a piece very dear to us, one of the most legendary songs in history, Heroes from The White Duke. 
This time @cursesforever is the one to get his hands on it, one of the most interesting producers on the electronic disco scene, who with his 80's and wave touch has managed to create an elegant and at the same time explosive dancefloor gem.
