Berlin based DJ BB Deng was born in Hong Kong and raised in Taiwan. She began her musical journey by playing in electro punk bands as lead singer, keyboard & drum machine player. Her career as a DJ started in Taipei and when she moved to Beijing, BB Deng developed pretty fast to one of China's lead female DJ.

BB Deng is flexible in playing from Techno, Industrial, EBM, Electro to House music and is fascinating the Berlin club scene such as Tresor, KitKat, Golden Gate and festivals such as ADE, Fusion and Burning man - just to name a few.

BB Deng has called Berlin home since 2018 and remains active in the scene with the birth of her event/label Ego Riot in 2022. We're happy to share our guest mix no. 79 with queen of darkness BB Deng!

✈ To celebrate this last episode of October, we are proud and delighted to welcome dj & producer raised in Morocco & based in Lille : ZAATAR زَعْتَر

Zaatar زْعَتر music is the peculiar combination of both her origins : Moroccan and Belgian. 

She finds her inspiration in the post punk and EBM movement of the late 80’ and early 90’.

Her tracks are therefore built around a gritty and rough baseline that sets the mood for frenetic body dances. Melodies and sounds inherited from her home country - Morocco- completes her soundscape in a way that is her own.

During her DJ sets she invites the public on a captivating journey from light to darkness, an oscillation between joy and melancholy sometimes punctuated by oriental melodies.

Co-founder and resident of the Laisse Tomber Les Filles collective, she works to celebrate women on the decks, freedom and diversity, values that never leave her, especially behind the decks.

She joins the label Ritmo Fatale with the track Abiad Al Layali already considered as an EBM reference.

Immersed in electronic music during adolescence, he gravitated towards techno, creating a distinctive style blending techno, EBM, and new wave.
