The last premiere of the year (phew!) is for our dear friends of the rising & shining Mexican imprint Kyma Komplex. They wrap their busy year up by delivering a mighty release made with love by Ann Garcia and featuring on the remix duties a super trio of Latino virtuosos: Mverto Futura, Diaz Tech (SXDNS089), and Veltrán (FREEDL050), the label honcho himself.

The woman of the hour, despite her tender age and short time in the production realm, has already amassed a considerable reputation not only because of her well-constructed and creative output but also due to her high-energy attitude during her sets.

For her debut on Klyma, she handed over two ferocious peak-time-thirsty beasts! It was hard to choose between them to close our premiere season, but after some deliberation we finally managed to pick a favourite to review: “Voces” is intense, vibrant, brutal! Its throbbing bassline, laser-like FXs, and vivid vocal hooks, together, result in a… yes, intense, vibrant, and brutal concoction devoted to triggering happy & perennial dance floor memories.

The night is a time of metamorphosis and (re)birth. Sapphist Eye emerged from a parallel world where clubs and raves embody an ideal of freedom and collective experience. The project emerged 
spontaneously, the descendant in a line of strong, creative women who have helped redefine electronic music and its spaces.
After collaborations with the Barbi(e)turix collective and the Les Disques du Lobby label (alongside Naominitel), her first solo EP, ‘Another Side’ captures a very particular universe in today's techno scene, never fully choosing between the mental and the physical, dance and transcendence. Sapphist Eye independently produced this collection of tracks, which combines roundness and power without being overwhelmed by her sonic quest.
Sapphist Eye plays catchy, gripping synthetic music that harbours melodic treasures and sonic mirror games. She will be opening for CHLOÉ at Rex Club, in Paris alongside DJ Hell on the 2nd March. LISTEN TO ‘ANOTHER SIDE’ Seedy Streets, released on the 9th Feb as the teaser single, introduces the record with an EBM techno tempo heckled by supernatural vocals. The track interweaves its rhythmic efficiency with melodic flights of 
fancy that seem to set the machine's martial accents on the rails of human ecstasy. Behind its labyrinthine vocal lines lurks a story of empowerment. The more minimal Chorus Ensemble offers a 
dancefloor escape with distant kraut and cosmic reminiscences. Nothing, tinged with cold wave and industrial sounds, unfolds a long epic with more narrative overtones. Californian duo Club Tularosa, fervent promoters of Italo- and post-punk-infused techno, offer Seedy Streets a mental remix with a slightly elevated tempo, relying on an unstoppable vocal hook to turn it into a heady banger.
Sapphist Eye's aesthetic and musical approach fits in particularly well with the catalog of CHLOE's Lumière Noire label. It's a crucial step in the emergence of an already exciting figure in today's electronic music scene, whose approach is as personal as it is irresistible.

Brace yourselves for an unforgettable ride as Mexican producer and Duro label boss, Theus Mago, invites us to join the party on the 'Terremoto Valley Express'. 

Our journey kicks off with ‘Nocturne’, propelling us through the valley with its blend of tribal drums, effortless funk and eerie after-dark melody. A late-night heater that’s already on course to become the first underground smash of 2024. 

The seismic rumblings intensify with the title track. A relentless combination of bubbling synth lines, thumping kick drum, and hypnotic spoken vocal, inviting us to create our own tremors on the dancefloor. 

Our final hypnotic destination is 'Cuerpo y Mente’. A track that calls on us to channel the sound and energy of the dance into our physical form. As a thrilling bonus, Berlin-based Italian producer Younger Than Me delivers a frantic rework, adding an extra layer of intensity to the already explosive finale.
