The energetic Brazilian duo TouchTalk (@touchtalk) makes their debut on the ZEF Music (@zefclub) with 3 original tracks where they show all their talent when it comes to refreshing the 80s sounds and adapting them to the new techniques of current club music.  The Place gives the ep its name and begins to show us what this is going to be about, explosive music to shake up a dance floor. The classic drums of the era and the bass line provide the solid foundation for elegantly pitched synths, mysterious electric guitars and piercing leads to lift the energy and bring us to the climax, all this happening while a vocal that seems to be inside our mind suggests "liberation".  In Two Pole, an atmosphere of expectation stands out, excellent for starting a set or generating a transition, carefully sequenced drums, powerful strings and synths that rise to the sky and descend to the ground while a resonant bass runs the entire spectrum and gives that delicious acid touch that we like so much.  Finally in EyEy the star is the vigorous bass line that marks the restless pulse of the track, the toms fills in and out playing with the sharp synths that paint the rest of the scene while they are squeezed until they get all the potential of those juicy filters. Part 2 consist of 2 old friends of the label, Henrik Schwarz and Filippo Moscatello, who joins Sasse on the flipside.

Henrik delivers his first new material for the label since some years and we are overwhelmed. 'At Third Place' has Henriks trademark sound written all over it, dance floor efficiency combined with his roots of Jazz and Soul, making this a standout piece on his long and adventurous catalogue which started in 2003 on his first ever 12" on Moodmusic.

Filippo Moscatello and Sasse takes the route up to La La Land with '303 Day', an excursion to 303 driven deep house inspired dance floor madness, with a hint or two towards classic twin-town hits of the 90s.

Liran Ackerman from Israel is the man behind the project AckerMan. Mainly inspired by electronic projects and bands from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, his original and identifiable style is full of badass basslines and psychedelic groove. Liran has already appeared on several labels such as HEARec, Duro, Belly Dance Services, and Latido – on the latter under his pseudonym Deadly Weapons in partnership with Eliezer.

In his second display on HEARec (he has already delivered a killer remix for Javier Martinez’ “Paranoia” [HEAR0044]), he brought to light an entire release of his own featuring three well-constructed originals with EBZ collaborating in two of them and two bright remixes made with love by Eliezer and Mufti.

Premiered here, the title track, “Keshet BeAnan”, means “rainbow” in Hebrew. Suitable, inasmuch as the EP is a colourful representation of AckerMan’s distinctive style. The track itself, despite being rather minimalistic, brings Liran and EBZ flirting with many different textures which, combined, enrich the theme and showcase the duo’s high-quality producing skills. The percussive elements, the fat bassline, and the obscure vocals deliver a trippy and insightful piece that establishes Liran as an “artist to watch” amid the rising Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene.

Serbian-born house and techno aficionado Andrew Meller has been a mainstay in the electronic music scene for well over a decade now. Having asserted his presence regularly in high charting positions and playlists around the world, he now unveils his brand new label project - REWLER Records.

Kicking things off with a monumental bang, Meller graces the maiden EP on REWLER Records with two stunning original cuts. He also enlists the creative talents of rising UK duo Murphy’s Law on remix duties, as they complete the release with an alternative spin on the b-side.

Opening the release, the title track - Dirty Minds - showcases Andrew’s championed individuality from early on. From the driving glide of the drum work and the rattle of tonal percs right through to the long, sweeping and gritty bass notes and seductive vocals, its hedonistic appeal makes for an addictive late-night dancefloor heater.

‘Modern Love’ follows, with Meller cranking up the grit a little more and pumping in yet more groove to the mix. Echoing shards of electro and synth-pop throughout, it’s a progressively building track with magnetic energy continuing to rise insatiably from start to finish.
