En 2009 sortait Halfway Homeless. Un album qu’Oddateee ne pensait pas être à la fois un testament du passé et un signe prémonitoire. Et pourtant...
Pourtant s’il fut presque ce sans domicile fixe qu’il décrit, c’est en hobo celeste qu’il va vivre sa vie et sa musique à partir de 2009, avec plus de 120 dates en trois ans. Un enchaînement de tournées comme autant de voyages et de rencontres, qui vont voir le rapper du Bronx partager la route et la scène avec des légendes comme Rahzel ou KRS-One, des projets hip-hop alternatifs de renom (Dälek, Subtitle, Ben Sharpa, Bleubird, K-the-I ???, ou Solillaquist of Sound,) les mythiques dubbers français de High Tone, mais aussi des groupes clairement noise comme Liars, Marvin ou Action Beat.
Une formule live tout terrain nourrie autant par les groove hip-hop hispano que par l’indus post apocalyptique et construite autour du duo Oddateee (MC, machines, mpc, platines) et Tit’o (guitare et basse, également membre de Picore, Von Magnet et Uzul Prod.) qui va contaminer les foules des festivals de Dour, Marsatac, Astropolis, Aucard de Tours, ou Riddim Collision, et voir le rapper traverser la France, l’Allemagne, la Suisse, la Belgique, l’Autriche, la Tchéquie, la Hongrie, La Pologne, ou la Slovénie.

C’est lors de ses fréquents aller-retour à New York, qu’Oddateee va commencer à composer en secret son troisième long format, comme un bilan de vie et un témoignage de cette période américano-européenne presque schizophrène. Symbole de ces cross-overs marques de fabrique du rapper freaks, il collabore avec différents producteurs. Outre les habitués Bill Brooks et Oktopus du groupe Dälek auteurs de deux tracks chacuns, Oddateee va aussi faire participer ses récentes rencontres comme le français Carbon Copies (Picore), le suisse Bit Tuner (Tallen) et aussi et surtout le célèbre DJ et producteur hip-hop new-yorkais DJ JS1 (le responsable du son de Rahzel et KRS-One) sur le tube Rock & Rap.
Côté featuring, le métissage est aussi de rigueur puisqu’Oddateee s’attache les services de MC Skalla comme d’Aaron Turner - chanteur des feu Isis - sur l’OVNI Left Dolo in the Hood.

"To Be Clear" is the third single coming out of Moullinex's highly acclaimed debut album "Flora". Mixmag gave it a 10/10 and wrote that "'To Be Clear'" is a perfect pop record". We couldn't agree more. For this 12" Discotexas called in RAC, Kraak & Smaak and Zimmer to deliver three new aproaches to the song. While RAC take it a bit further in the electro-pop camp, Kraak & Smaak go on another direction into the realms of deep house and Zimmer wraps it up into a nu disco stomper.

Moullinex and Xinobi hardly need an introduction. They are two of the hottest producers and DJs around and together they formed Discotexas a while back.

Xinobi's new album is pretty much an album rooted in the NOW. Its emo electronic music you can dance to. You can say Atmospheric House with Spoken Word, dreamy electronic with a Pop feel, ethereal Techno, dark chill Leftfield fulfilled with uncommon lyrics on the dance music world. 
“On The Quiet” is a dance floor-focused story about the transition of many electronic musicians from punk rock and skateboarding into house music and about how dance-music can be a field for social conscious awareness. 
It’s common knowledge that the second album from an artist is his most difficult task. “On The Quiet” proves to be an exception to this idea. After countless successful singles and remixes Xinobi found his own style on his debut album “1975”, released in 2014, and improved that style on this set of songs that now stands a new landmark on his career.
“On The Quiet” is a reflex of the path that many contemporary electronic musicians have crossed, starting on punk and developing into diversity while keeping some of the ethics of punk school. One could say this an D.I.Y. record. Xinobi played and self-produced the whole album and even released on Discotexas (a label he co-owns with Moullinex). Friends were invited to sing on some tracks and there’s Ian MacKaye’s (the man behind such important bands as Minor Threat, Fugazi or the Dischord label) voice about skateboarding manners and urban alternative interpretations. The record also features an artwork by Braulio Amado with extensive biographical writings, all the lyrics, interviews with Igor Cavalera (former member of Sepultura and Mixhell) and David Andersson of Punks Jump Up beautifully crafted with fanzine-styled aesthetics.
