Ma Spaventi is a wonderfully versatile artist. Over his decade-long career, the Italian musician has turned his capable hand to everything from ambient to techno. Once again, he is expanding his sound palette and challenging expectations with Vicino Lontano.

Across eight tracks, an array of ideas and influences are explored with additional guitar work coming care of Odeon’s Michele Righini. The reflective hues of “Solitario” give way to the warming strings and peaceful brightness of “Crepuscolo.” Written and produced in Amsterdam between 2017 and 2019, beautiful memories of the past are the source of inspiration. Radiating Summer sunshine bathes “Bring Me Back” in a comforting glow, while “Velvet Lights” teases rhythm sections with thick bass lines and shimmering synth work. Moments of introspection arrive in the elegant gliding forms of “Bomber” and “Intermezzo.” The rumbling “End Line” finds harmony amongst a spread of styles, cascading chords and rich textures, all combining beautifully. A moon rise closes, the grand curtain falls on “Bidderosa”,  calling time of this stunning collection.

"One day I was on a visit sitting in his kitchen and when we decided to change to the sofa in the music room, his girlfriend proposed to listen to these old recordings, as maybe I would be weird enough to like them. "Recorded in my homestudio, low budget style with a cheap microphone, a sampler, drum machines, vinyl and a few borrowed synths. … A commitment to the funk, a raw analogue sound and also a dedication to black music and its architects.“ the artist comments on it.
I immediately dug the rather short demos a lot. As I had to swallow the information that there never were real plans to release them, I later decided on the bus home, I just had to puke out a "label“. Soon I asked him to extend some of the songs and let me do some mixing and here is the album.“ Cid Hohner

Reach Out is back after they made a splash with their first release Chazz - Sassy Style and the wonderful edit Red Greg delivered for the crew. Hailing out of Paris and Amsterdam, the misfits fight nails and teeth to bring the disco-dancer quality dancefloor material with a modern take on it. The quest they have set themselves to in particular is one of authenticity and respect by finding and contracting the rights for any tracks they would release. The label would like to give special thanks to Bluey & Dome Records, Peter for Paladin and Mike & Sony Music for their help and trust. This record is thought around 2 settings that the crew members hold to heart: firstly the Day side with groovy tunes that would fit any sunny day dance with friends, secondly the Night side with more cosmic tracks that will put any night dancefloor into a trance!
