Nathan Dawidowicz l Cosmic Gathering 2022

The dulcet sounds drifted in through the window, carried by a soft breeze from the west of the town. Every morning it provided an organic wake up call; a sweet soundtrack to life in this quaint little place. Its source remained unknown - even if if you followed the path towards it, soon it evaporated as if it were emitting from the air itself. There were theories and speculations; some said it was the ghost of a mythical siren sent to lure in sailors from their ships, others maintained that it was simply the way the wind echoed off the cliff face. But ultimately there was no explanation needed, they counted themselves lucky to wake to these sweet sonics each and every day.

Under his Tolouse Low Trax moniker, Paris-based producer Detlef Weinrich has become revered for his psychedelic compositions, often stretched into unfurling opuses. For his fifth album Leave Me Alone - which is set for release on his regular haunt, Hamburg's Bureau B - he experiments with a more playful sound, matching dub and hip hop influences with raw, tribalistic electronica. Amongst the LP's 13 tracks is 'Ossia', a collaboration with Rome-based singer and producer Eva Geist who layers a political spoken passage from Italian poet Pier Paolo Pasolini over Detlef's lumbering electronics.

DISCOURSE (ir/nl | FWD: Gher Space) 
discourse (Katayoun Arian) is an Iranian-Dutch DJ, curator and writer based in Amsterdam. She is the founder of FWD: Gher Space, an Amsterdam-based platform that aims to be a home for a growing community of womxn and non-binary DJs and artists in particular. The platform strives to connect music loving audiences, dancers, artists with different experiences, cultural backgrounds, and gender identities, to diverse musical traditions, communities, and venues. Growing up in the Netherlands, Katayoun developed a versatile musical interest ranging from techno, classical music from Iran and beyond all the way to funk, smooth jazz, R&B and dancehall. Currently, she is particularly interested in the question of what an archive can do, and therefore also what and archive can be by activating and rearranging aural archives centring on female vocalists from Iran and beyond. Her mixtapes for Red Light Radio entitled 'Female Vocalists from Iran (and Beyond)' are arrangements through which she explores but also emphasizes her conviction that the meaning of archival documents changes through the ways they are activated and (re-)arranged.

Vinyl collector, dj and radio host from the Netherlands, he’s been a resident dj for 9 years at Red Light Radio (Amsterdam) with the bi-weekly show ‘All Around The Globe’, and resident dj for 3 years hosting two different monthly shows at Operator radio (Rotterdam).
