Disco Waltons Sessions

For the second episode of the new "Mix Sessions," Pete Ellison donned one of his signature Hawaiian shirts, fired up the decks, and lit up the disco lights for a journey through multiple genres.

The new format of the show gives our Waltons a chance to showcase their unique sound over a two hour broadcast. The first hour packed full of glitterball grooves and disco magic, featuring three of his own new productions. The second hour shifted gears into house music, full of beefy basslines and a tougher, more driving vibe.

The session was meant to wrap up after two hours, but the energy was too good to stop. Pete commandeered the airwaves for an impromptu third hour, diving into old skool house classics and bangers from his vinyl days, before rounding off the night with a few funky breakbeat tracks.

Ep 03 - Discoholic Ken - The Disco Waltons  Mix Sessions.  ( 25th may 2025 )

Horsebox resident Plastic Royale (aka Tompa Minas) took the reins this week, broadcasting live from his studio in Sweden. He kicked things off with some of the funkiest disco grooves to ever hit the digital airwaves, gradually building into an uplifting house vibe by the end of his hour.

The second half of the show featured Dutch legend Lenzz, a gifted DJ from Rotterdam, passionate record collector, and fellow radio show host. His own show, Lenzzie’s New Grooves, airs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm UK time on NDC Radio.

Lenzz delivered an eclectic set packed with jazzy, funky, tribal, and housey vibes—taking us on a rich and rhythmic musical journey.

The Black Light Disco Show bites into the bagel that is the My House Radio airwaves and blasting a beam of happiness out of your speakers to massage your ears. 

This week it’s the turn of the deadly duo of Cole Kutz and Ste Hendry Esteban (our eminent Doctors of Sonic Research currently resident in BLD Towers). And what a two hour extravaganza these fine gentlemen have lined up for your listening pleasure. 

We start the first hour in the safe company of Cole Kutz, who has a super-tasty selection of funk-filled delights from the likes of KS French, Rayko, AIMES, Kort, Soul Central and Atmosfear / Dr Packer it’s high fives and fist pumps all round.

We are a collective of passionate DJs, Producers and devoted Disco Fans from across the globe, who came together during lockdown through our shared love of all things Disco, House, Funk, Soul and more.

In addition to the vast array of tracks, labels, events, DJ sets, radio shows, and blogs produced by our gifted family members, we also run our own special weekly show. For nearly 3 years, the Disco Waltons Sunday Service has been going out every Sunday 9-11pm (UK time) on NDC Radio. Each week a member of our fam hosts the show and invites an incredible guest to join them. We now have over 100 shows under our belt, with mixes from wonderful guests including heavyweights such as Greg Wilson, Michael Gray, Moplen, Derrick McKenzie, plus many emerging DJs and producers.
