Ep 03 - Discoholic Ken - The Disco Waltons  Mix Sessions.  ( 25th may 2025 )

Horsebox resident Plastic Royale (aka Tompa Minas) took the reins this week, broadcasting live from his studio in Sweden. He kicked things off with some of the funkiest disco grooves to ever hit the digital airwaves, gradually building into an uplifting house vibe by the end of his hour.

The second half of the show featured Dutch legend Lenzz, a gifted DJ from Rotterdam, passionate record collector, and fellow radio show host. His own show, Lenzzie’s New Grooves, airs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm UK time on NDC Radio.

Lenzz delivered an eclectic set packed with jazzy, funky, tribal, and housey vibes—taking us on a rich and rhythmic musical journey.

Welcome to the 5th Anniversary of our radio show! The show was started back in 2020 during the pandemic, to spread uplifting vibes and happiness during lockdown. But we carried on broadcasting after things opened up again, and now have a lovely bunch of regular listeners all around the world. This week's show featured my latest track, I CAN FEEL IT, which is out now on Duchesse Records. My guest for the second hour was James Bissenden, aka J B Numbskull who I have been chatting with for a while now. He's a really nice guy with awesome taste in music, and hs bio is below :-)

** JB NUMBSKULL BIO **
James from Bahia, known as J B Numbskull comes from West country England, beginning his musical life on piano whilst singing and studying music in Truro cathedral choir under the late John Winter. Age 13, James discovered guitar, thanks to Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai and the emerging metal scene of the 1980s, involving himself in various noisy metal bands until he discovered the UK psychedelic rock scene and started working with sound systems just as electronic music was getting big the early 1990s. 

James has been a DJ for 30 years, beginning in India, going on to play in parties, clubs, festivals and events over 3 continents, including Taiwan, Thailand, UK, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Brazil, with much time spent playing in the London free party scene in the early 2000s. James plays many styles of music to suit the hour and the occasion, all showcased on his Soundcloud profile.

Since 2009, James has lived in Bahia, as a homesteader/host, craft beersmith and resident DJ at Padoca no Campo, Ibicoara, playing in events all over Brazil.
