According to the instructions, it's best played at 33 1/3 RPM. For those who DJ using laptops, what this means is that you have to spin around in circles 33 1/3 times while you play the track. 

Sounds easy, right? But there's a catch...

You have to do this in multiples of 3 (i.e. 3, 6 or even 9 times!). If you don't, the maths won't add up and you won't achieve a full rotation. To put it simply, The Silver Rider is one amazing dude. One of the sweetest guys in the industry, he has a marvelous way of bringing his wonderful smile into every track he has a hand in. He's got releases on all of the best labels around the world, the most recent of which hail from the studio in his 3rd generation Texas farmstead (which you can read more about here: https://www.magneticmag.com/2017/09/the-silver-rider-disco-rancher/ ). Adding to his impressive discogs listing, The Silver Rider has a forthcoming release on Lovedancing titled "Farm to Tables." Very on theme, Davey! This stellar record drops on October 26th and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

"All I Do" is a wonderful piece of disco house. Approachable with it's 4-4 and claps, the brightness is augmented by the relative simplicity of the production. The lack of unnecessary features allows for us listeners to pay attention to and fall in love with the beautiful, dreamy vocal samples used throughout. As the track takes full form with a tinge of winds and strings, it instills a glorious dreamlike stupor.

The Silver Rider - All I Do [Lovedancing]

Brooklyn based, DJ Monchan, steps up to perform some surgical edit wizardy on four mouth-watering tracks for the ever-dependable Razor-N-Tape. 'Reaction Control' kicks things off with a joyous disco gem extending and echoing those killer groovers to create a whirlwind of dancefloor delight.

Detroit's https://soundcloud.com/pontchartrain takes the Razor-N-Tape reigns for his debut on the label - an all-cylinders-firing jazz laden, deep house EP with an exquisite https://soundcloud.com/demuja remix.

The A side kicks off with 'The Friends & Lovers Dub' version of the title track 'Love Is Madness', filled with deep pulsing pads, resonating dashes of sax, crisp percussion and a bumping bassline that provides the perfect backdrop to the echoing mantra of 'Friends... Lovers'. 

Next 'I-80' is a wonder of shimmering arps, brooding bass tones and reverberating trumpet touches. Perfect for the early hours, entrancing dancers as it washes over the airwaves. 

On the flip, Austria's golden boy Demuja hits hard with a Kerri Chandler channeling deep house remix of 'Love Is Madness', centred around a pumping bass synth, sustained organs and a classic marriage of horn stabs and emotive spoken word. 

Closing the EP the original mix is a sun kissed, eyes closed gem that blends delicate bongos, rousing sax lines and the sweet vocals of Simon Black & Leafar.

A must for any record collection out there, house head or not.
