"I live in Dusseldorf, Germany. I started mixing in 2016. Music has always been an enormously important part of my life and a wonderful vehicle for my emotions. It not only surrounds me acoustically, but also visually, because I have synesthesia. I see sounds in terms of colors and shapes, so with every mix I try to tell a colorful journey full of emotions."

It was such fun to open the main dance floor on Saturday at @pangeafrequencies A Family Affair this year. After losing all my music just a couple of weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to play at this, one of South Africa's up and coming festivals. How could I turn it down?

A Family Affair is a lovingly curated celebration of art, creation, sound, conscious rave culture and healing. The attention to detail is second to none. Full credit to the team for bringing it all together.

The morning slot was a chance to build a light, fun set designed to reawaken Fridays ravers and welcome Saturday's new arrivals. My intention was to open the heart, sweeten the ears and kickstart the serotonin with some melody and soul. 

We've got a long day ahead of us so grab yourself a mimosa and let's get to it...

Sounds Over Seas is ready to release its very first LP by label founder Julian Bainbridge. The album covers aspects of the Deep House genre in its classic definition, pushing certain boundaries, whilst maintaining the spirit of the genre through feeling and utilising melodies and rhythm to evoke emotions which go beyond the dance floor. Keeping it raw throughout the nine tracks, each one incorporates different elements of the music spectrum. Implementing jazzy tweaks, minimalistic rhythms, haunting melodies as well as ambience and globals sounds in a full dancing and listening experience.

All songs produced and mixed by Julian Bainbridge except 1,2,7 mixed by Manolo and 8 mixed by Matuli. All tracks mastered by Manolo at Superbueno Studios Neukölln.

"I was the first set of the day at one of my favorite places in the world, Pink Mammoth on a Saturday in Black Rock City.

Throughout the week I had found myself searching for ways to top past years which left me chasing expectations and this set seemed to be another illustration of this idea. Previous years my friend Kenny and I had played Pink Mammoth to a packed dance floor as https://soundcloud.com/peaceinnoise, but this year he wasn't there, and neither was a big crowd. At first, I was disappointed, craving that energy, but as I closed my eyes and focused on the music, I felt a smile form on my face. It didn't matter how many people were with me on this morning, and even if there was one person in their tent grooving as they woke, that wasn't any less important.  

Thank you #burningman for not giving me what I asked for and instead what I needed. Than you Zach, Tim Green and the Pink Mammoth sound guy for your warm greeting and giving me the opportunity to be a be a small part of your camp this year.

Thank you also to anyone who rode by smiling and grooving on your bike, and the group of new friends who ended up joining me on the dance floor."

Nach langem Überlegen, hab ich mich dazu entschlossen mein Set der letzten Beats of the Loony Bin im AK44 Gießen zu veröffentlichen. Es ist schwer in Worte zu fassen was an diesem Abend für eine Energie in der Crowd war. Es hat mich förmlich überwältigt wie viel pure Lebensfreude einem entgegen gebracht wurde. Mir bleibt nichts als mich bei allen Beteiligten zu bedanken, ohne euch wäre es nicht möglich gewesen ♥️♥️♥️ Das war für mich einer der schönsten Abende seitdem ich Auflege und ich hoffe das Set kann das nur ansatzweise wiedergeben. Fettes Lob und Danke geht an Én Er (Faultierdisko //Deep & Smooth)und Oriental Tropical von (Mach Mal Langsam), ihr habt einfach nur gerockt!!! Epische Energien die da flossen, das musste ich erst ein mal alles verarbeiten😲 ♥️
