The British DJ/producer Roberto aka Fossil Archive has been at the vanguard of the modern British electronic scene for some time, deploying sophisticated and pure techno sounds via releases on labels such as ARTS, Radio Slave’s Rekids and Mike Dehnert’s Fachwerk.

The debut Fossil Archive album ‘Tungsten’ was released in 2021 on Kneaded Pains and was a long player that transcended through a complete range of ambient sounds and heavyweight beats. On this new single for Dense & Pika’s imprint, a brace of polished techno cuts are served up.

On ‘Valves Of Life’ a slice of hypnotic and unobtrusive techno tantalisingly unfurls, as tension building strings and spacey melodies play out, whilst on ‘The Heights Of Metropolis’, a distinct electro/Chicago house hybrid is formed, as menacing acid and cold vocals make its mark.

Hakiri Records is a label from Nuremberg, Germany, headed up by Dominik Fröhlich, as a vessel for his own works as well as combining with other artists. Dominik Fröhlich is an upcoming producer who has been making waves after recently working with Luca Maniaci.

We premiere his ''Pandora'' track with a strong breakbeat aesthetic, thumping kicks and haunting vocals from the upcoming EP ''Nacht''.

Italian DJ & producer Akoriz has been carving out raw, industrial and acid sounds for labels such as Set About, Redrum Music, and of course, Kneaded Pains.  His second full release for Dense & Pika’s label, the ‘Apropos’ EP comes backed with a killer remix from hard techno wunderboy, Luciid.

Three new original productions from Akoriz are cued up on the ‘Apropos’ EP, each one laced with intensity and raw techno chops.  Heavy kick drums and crispy percussion give way to rave tropes and minimal tones across this triplet of pure fire bangers.

Luciid keeps up the pressure of his recent releases on Kneaded Pains, Suara and CRISIS OF MAN with a blazing remix of ‘Monoi’ that illustrates just why the young artist is making serious dents in the hard techno world.

"This EP was crated in my home studio with Force Placement using our electronic instruments recorded live as a jam. He's a big Elektron user and my instrument of choice is the Verbos Modular System. We’ve talked about working together on a project for a while, always at some warehouse after party in LA. It was great to finally get together during lockdown and make some music on the spot. The tracks were arranged after our improvisational sessions and mixed on my analog console. The artwork was painted by Berkeley Glaser while listening to the records as I worked on the arrangements and mixes. A big thank you to Liquid Asset and Stukes for the incredible remixes! All the tracks are mastered by myself."

Formed in 1997, the music is a process of hardware MIDI and analog devices mixed with live instruments; fusing together psychedelic fantasy music with ambient, jazz, industrial, dance, hip hop/break beat, noise, and improvisation. From 2003-2014 performing live as the band Pinebox.
