It sounds as uncompromising as a Tarantino movie: a rock-solid bass riff and obscure drones accompany guitar melodies that tear open an abyss. The crescendos of the sweeping drum sounds and the oscillating delays activate the left brain hemisphere and one sinks into a half-sleep where dream images pass by – memories of our days and years.

A few harmonics and warm chords, distorting delays. A door opened, then closed. Then the journey begins, through the city, rattling and scratching, winding through the streets. A ride through past days, past places and corners where all the stories and memories greet you. And onwards to where the future lies, into the twilight, into a new year.

Snowed in at an abandoned guest house located in the Swiss Alps, there was nothing else to do for a couple of longtime friends, but to make music and eat fondue. Equipped with synthesizers, drum machines and other toys they immersed themselves in a mist of sound. They resurfaced a couple of days later with four songs. This was the genesis of “Diskret”.
