"Ghaxl Tzenpali" is a space suite written to accompany Enko Landmann's classic sci-fi novel "Empire of the Four Moons".  Spanning 19 minutes in total, the three tracks follow the journey of VoFed researchers Jeren Mulgrow, Kim Beltrane & Marek Lien, as they discover the – to them unknown – empire's fourth moon, Ghaxl Tzenpali.

The set is a patchwork just like the artwok, but of various sounds that streamed out of me during the closing set of an audiovisual Meccanismo event in one of my fav clubs in Berin - OHM. Both the concept of the event and the genre-fluidity inviting venue inspired me to glue together diverse bits of my music library. 
Inside: some slavic vocals, cinematic soundscapes mixed into bass, footwork, 4x4, experimental rhythms, ambient, electro, dubstep, dnbassy stuff.

mia is a Berlin-based DJ, promoter and performing artist from Rijeka (Croatia). She is a member of the queer*feminist collective POSSY from Hamburg, as well as a resident at Manual Club and Radio Roža in her hometown. mia is genre-fluid. Her sound is nurtured by an abundance of different musical interests. In club contexts, she likes to focus on a deep, dark electro, breakbeat, ebm and techno sound. In moments of calmness, her tunes float between ambient, idm and downtempo

Music has always been a means of coping with the otherness and hybridity Shanti experienced throughout her life. While she is a philosopher and writer, Shanti has felt limited by words and has recognized the transcendent ability of music to express abstract concepts, states of consciousness, and conflicting emotions. She explores philosophical themes of existential despair and ambiguity through eerie, atmospheric and bass-heavy techno, angsty industrial/dark wave, squishy acid, and longing lofi-ambient soundscapes. Her sets weave a story of the simultaneous despair and yearning that are intertwined with the human condition while building a necessary tension leading to a cathartic release of emotions. 

Shanti has a monthly show, "Liminal" on Beloved Radio (starting in April). She also plays in the DJ duo, Evanti with Plumb.ee and hosts Otherworldly Ambiguity, an experience centered around the phenomenon of occupying the spaces in between and outside of pre-existing concepts and rigid categories.
