Soul Tangler is a brash new video art/noise side project of Ryan Wurst aka Yellow Hyper Balls who runs the prolific Always Human Tapes record label. In Ryan's own words, "I started downloading a bunch of videos to make video art schtuff. I then noticed I was only pulling clips from the scenes in-between sex in softcore porn and b-horror movies. I grabbed some of the sounds from the videos and started recording. It started to feel like a new project."

The demo tape where these tracks derived from was the original inspiration for the Disposable Commodities label concept. All songs recovered post-mortem 2001 – 2006. The LP release is a mix of vocal 80s referencing dark underground songs and guitar-based ambient sketches.
