We are excited to have our next guest, a Philadelphia native and techno enthusiast, m_reilly behind the decks for some pulsating sounds to pump your fist to.  m_reilly is a prolific producer as far as releases are concerned.  He has been contributing to the scene through well known labels such as the Beryllium Project, Industrial Techno United, Ismus, and his own self-releases.   He does not hinge on one particular style for any of his releases but there is some thematic elements that drive home a dark and brooding sound.  It seems there is always something in his expansive catalog that strikes a cord for every type of moment on the dancefloor.  We are proud to have him this episode to share with us some of his selections and even more excited to bring him through for a future event!

m_reilly is born, raised, and still residing in Philadelphia PA(USA). From a very early age he was interested in technology, this coincided with hearing a lot early 80’s synth wave and club music on the radio. Because of these two things he became obsessed with electronic drum machines and synthesizers. This love for electronic music and technology would only grow as he grew older and explored various artists and genres of music such as industrial, synth pop, hip hop, heavy metal, Reggae , and Tracker/chiptune music to name a few. One defining theme that came through all the tracks in each musical style he liked was raw, unfiltered, and dark tones.

As a teen in the early 1990’s he was introduced to underground electronic music, and that really opened his mind up to the possibilities of sound. Influences earlier were Frankie Bones(especially the early factory mixtapes), Nicky Fingers, ISR, DBN, Ron D Core, Dj Freak, Delta 9, Storm Records, Bloody Fist, and Simon Underground to name a few. By 1995 m_reilly has started to purchase records and practice the art of dj’ing. As time progressed he became more interested in techno and electro, but never lost his constant search for raw, deep, dark tracks. By 1998 he had started to build up his first studio and began the process of honing in his own sound. After taking some time off music he started to take it seriously again in 2015. Today he continues to search for raw, dark, techno vibes either through his dj sets or tracks.
