Our debut release, "DS001" comes from the creative brainchild of Brighton-based producers Movement (@movementbtn) and Blends. Both producers musical roots are based in Dubstep and UK Garage. This influence can be heard throughout "DS001", with a further taste from their newfound love of Techno, and the EP is a sonic journey through Heritage's experience of urban life. Making extensive use of spacious atmospherics, weighty sub-bass and razor sharp breaks, "DSOO1" is perfect for the club system and for immersive home listening.

Our second release comes from Brighton's @sir_rah, whose musical influences stretch from dubstep to techno, and his unique sound is exquisitely showcased on "Kernel Panic/Leonard". Two, heavy-hitting breaks tracks that meander through a dark sonic landscape, "Kernel Panic/Leonard" is a glimpse into the future of breaks music.

Our next release is out 31/08/2018 in the form of a various artists free compilation. The release features music from across the bass spectrum, ranging from UK Techno to Dubstep and Jungle. Heritage start things off with a rolling tribal influenced 130 heater, leading the way for the likes of Hypho, 9TRANE, Jubley and Movement to set the pace, before Earthnut and Kono release that 140 pressure. Finally Harrta and Findingthings round things off with an acid influenced Jungle banger.

Following releases on Hygrade, Circular Jaw and most recently on eatmybeat, Foolproof sees Hedchef make his Dissident Sound debut in dramatic and unparalleled style. This four track EP features two high powered illustrations of his ability to deliver when exploring ranging tempos and soundscapes, in addition to the inclusion of dynamic remixes from 9TRANE and Xantrax, thus completing Hedchef's most experimental and meditative body of work to date. 

Transparency Illusion kicks things off in potent fashion, fusing components from different factions within the UK bass spectrum, to deliver a killer opener driven by moody bass, shifting drum patterns and ample use of breakbeats at 125bpm. 

On White Spot Syndrome, the Oxford born producer takes the tempo down to 110bpm for a glitchy, industrial inspired frenzy which most certainly does the psychological themed concept of the release appropriate justice. 

On remix duty 9TRANE returns to Dissident Sound for his third contribution to the label, reworking Transparency Illusion in an astute manner with the introduction of his own alluring percussion and an entrancing synth running throughout the track. 

Closing the affair, Xantrax’s remix of White Spot Syndrome showcases the Berlin based artist's more aggressive side routed from his days in the French free-party scene; a broken soundsystem as the inspiration for the progressive twisting and breaking of the track, merged with an off-beat bass driven style.

Agora - Oranges & Lemons (Out 19/08/19)

Exploring his interest in the more measured, atmospheric side of electronic music, Movement presents his debut EP under a new alias, Agora. Whilst illustrating the influences of his roots in UKG and Breakbeat, Agora moves further from conventional dance music as the release progresses, finishing with the title track, Oranges & Lemons, an ode to a love of ambient. His most introspective release so far, Oranges & Lemons showcases a transition from the club ready dance space, to a sphere of home listening by the time of the closing track.
