After a chance encounter through seperate bands in a rehearsal space, Ky Taundry, Matt Reece-Jones and Tom Hedges met. 

After their subsequent bands disbanded and having kept in contact, Matt and Ky decided to start jamming and writing songs together. 

"Roll Against the Tide" was the first product of the newly formed songwriting partnership. After many weeks of successful writing and rehearsing sessions, they soon realised they were on to something.

They convinced Tom to learn the bass guitar (having previously been a drummer), his fast learning ability and natural groove helped lead the band to it's next stage.

Then came time to recruit the final piece of the puzzle, a drummer. After signing up to multiple "find band member" pages, and asking around the scene, they came into contact with Callum Sahan.

A rehearsal was arranged and the connection was gelled almost from the get go. Callum provided the final touch that would send the band to it's next stage.

A few more months of dedicated rehearsing ensued and the band were finally ready to start playing live. 

After getting a few gigs under their belt, they arranged some studio time with close friend and sound engineer Wiliam Jones. 

On the 12th of May 2023, the band set off to Surrey with a van full of musical instruments and sleeping arrangements. After an uncomfortable night in the van, the band got into the studio early the next day and began work.

4 original tracks were recorded entirely live, with no overdubbing.
These songs will soon appear on the band's debut EP, entitled "The Live Sessions".

We felt since this was the first song written out of the bunch, it was only right it should be the lead single! These songs are so important to us and so much hard work and dedication has finally led us to this point.

From the slow-burn intensity and airy low-end drift in the opening „Svaras”, through shimmering percussive details and understated melodic traces woven across the EP, Gannein proves his mastery of restraint, as every element breathes.
