Chamas Do Cerrado marks the second EP on the label by LAZA. It unites sound elements from Drum n ‘Bass, Brazilian Funk, Brega Funk, Grime, Arrocha Funk and Ambient with a clear influence of the Brazilian music scene and experimental electronic music.

The track “Cidade Abelha” is named after LAZS's origins. His hometown, Jataí, has this name due to the presence of the Jataí Bees in the territory. Located in the Cerrado (Biome) also known as the Brazilian Savannah.
In “Chamas do Cerrado” the artist decides to tell stories from places in the state of Goiás through sound. Each track is named after a different place in the region.

The intense atmosphere of “Ponte Pedra” with strong elements of Drum n ‘Bass and Arrocha Funk to invade bodies in a dancing rhythm.

In this project, the artist decides to explore the destruction of samples in search of new melodies, textures, dark beats, contagious and accelerated.

‘Lex (Craig Richards Magic Carpet Remix)’ opens with the type of skipping, metallic sprung percussion that always goes down a storm as morning becomes afternoon in fabric, before the introduction of a moody bassline sets the track down a more sinister road with eerie chords, piercing background screeches and crunching percussive textures.

We kick off 2020 with a brand new venture from head honcho Daniel Ness and label-mainstay HNRO. After releasing their own projects throughout late 2019 and early 2020, the two producers join forces on forthcoming split EP ‘Blank Slate’. Born out of a need to liberate themselves creatively, showcase ‘fun music’, one off experiments & collaborations whilst simultaneously working on their respective projects, this body of work is their outlet and solution to ‘releasing music for the sake of releasing music’.
