Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. A quiet dancer who uses music to connect with others. 

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene? 
A. About 12 years as a dancer but 6 years as a dj. (I was a curious kid who stayed in the street)

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. This mix is a little rude, sticky but sweet. I wanted to pull elements from my queer haitian identity and experiences as an NYC native. A lot of the tracks selected are from DJs and artists I look up to. The grooves, syncopation and cuts I mix are to paint a picture of it being 2am in the club, you are pumping & dancing so hard that you are sweating your hair and clothes out but you can’t stop because the music feels too good. In my own way if I was old enough to play at sound factory or the tunnel, this is what it would sound like!

Be yourself and do your best to let go of "perfection", it just does not exist. Ride the rhythm not the cue mark. Practice with any two records and/or tracks. Play YOUR beat in the mix, your friendships and with life in general. Less surrender to being salty may not be so cool these days but it will welcome a more patient attitude with yourself and help those that you love.

"I chose to present an energetic mix. Capricorn’s ruler Saturn is the taskmaster. We need a lot of pep and charge to get through the harsh January conditions so we can complete our mission. Saturn is a hard, dominating presence requiring discipline and direction. You need to ask for help from your friends and comfortable familiars to navigate all the obstacles Saturn throws at you. i feel silly offering advice since i am still really new to DJing, lol. but! one thing i try to use as a guide for myself in all parts of life, and specifically in exploring music and DJing, is taking comfort in the fact that i will never know everything and understanding that there is always something to learn somewhere else or from someone else. thinking of myself as a student keeps me infinitely more
