“The newly formed label @AntiSkateLondon would love to present a newcomer called Rhythmona, a producer from Georgia. His name means "rhythm slave", and he's got some really emotionally charged and powerful dance tracks. I Want Your Love is one of the more upbeat of the selection, a sort of hypnotically romantic ballad for futuristic monotonous lovers. On this hit track, @Rhythmona takes us to 'the land of sunshine' in the otherwise grim world he's managed to craft. Pulsing beats, ferocious kicks and entrancing melodies float throughout the rest of the EP.

Aus Music continue a stellar 2017 and begin the festival season with the welcome return of long-term label friend Sei A. Having released a total of 2 EPs and the extolled ‘Space in Your Mind’ LP on the label, his return comes in the form of a pensive but purposeful 4-tracker titled ‘Alone’.

The title track starts things off with rich atmospherics accumulating over a distant thud. Mournful melodies snowball as delayed synths interweave and build a warm, comforting layer. ‘Bring It On’ then recalls his previous outings on Aus as intricate, shuffling drums generate an deep, hypnotic groove.

‘Holding’ then rolls out a dubby, eyes down tone as sunken drums propel mournful melodies before ‘Time Control’ balances an urgent drum-loop against a gently tumbling motif that brings a heartfelt set of club tracks to a close.

Alex Ferrazzi and Matteo Keemani a.k.a. Blue Mondays, longtime Laterra friends and collaborators (with releases on Sonar Kollektiv, Rebirth, Snatch!,Memento, Manocalda as well), strike again. They do it, as usual, their very own way: shades of Balearic flavours in there, but with a very dark and malicious twist. Marvin & Guy add some disco nuances (keeping it raw and obscure, though), while Nick Anthony Simoncino delivers a solid, strict, gloomy dancefloor affair. No frills, mad quality.

Chicago legend Jamal Moss, also commonly known as Hieroglyphic Being, supplies a diverse collection of electronic excursions on his 'R-Spirits Will Not Be Broken' EP via Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers’ Tuskegee Music imprint, including the acid-tinged deep house cut 'Salvation Is The Cure'.

Having been strongly influenced by witnessing Ron Hardy play at the iconic Chicago venue Muzic Box, Jamal's been known to showcase a raw and unapologetic essence to his distinctly original material. His latest outing sees him break the mold of dance music once again, with four tracks that reveal his innovative approach to music production.

This particular mix is all I love about house music: bounciness, riveting vocals and the ever-lasting groove. The mixtape showcases my journey with house music too, going back in time to my teens when I was introduced to garage, through the beginning of my twenties and my true love for deep house to recent fascination with microhouse. It is also a close one to my heart since I’ve decided to feature 2 tracks by my 2 very talented friends from BGM8S collective – Dan Sabel & Divad.
