Akyki’s debut on Distant Waters is an ode to his singular spacy house vibe  infused with a minimal and electro touch. The newcomer in the scene manages to mix some hopeful feelings with an extraterrestrial use of fx and sound design elements. 

The Ep is built as a resume of the French guy’s talent where each track has a particular color. The first one is a playful break in the style of a video game. The second one focuses on a bouncing catchy melody which brings a bit of melancholy to the project. The B face leaves more space to some peak time tools with a third track produced around an efficient bassline and wobble elements. The last track is quite different from the rest of the EP. With more saturation and a darker side, it is the perfect rocky tune to finish the journey. 

We are glad to receive this brilliant producer on the label !

This Seacast 02 is a gift from our close friend @tonini_global_charming the man behind the new Youtube channel Global Charming. Currently based in Brussel, he spend a lot of time digging in flee-market or not so fancy record store to find some groovy forgotten stuff.

The second release of Distant Waters has been conceived with the idea of making something dynamic with flow and motions as a scene of sea hunting with several wild oceanic animals. So we collaborated with different inspired divers who came all around Europe to give their vision of our synchronized hunting.

Solidwood the italian man behind the label Planet Tapes open this VA with a warm, stirring & progressive track.

Then Sans Sucre strikes again, like a seagull who plunges into a big shoal of fish with a high energy track.

The guys from Toulouse, Soyouz & Groenogen keep the flow going with a speedy micro-acid track that will make people dance as fast as a group of sardines trying to escape from their predators.

English newcomer Human Logo close this EP with a shiny housy track with samples of whales which call for a hunting session.

The third release is a split Ep born from the meeting between Emi Omar and Sucre Sucre in the nights of Nantes, connecting their souls with similar bass faces and head moves, recognizing themselves in the same groove. 

Emi Omar takes over the A side, delivering two bangers with his singular sonorities. The first one is driven by a solid bassline, accompanied with a smooth vocoder melted in the drums. The track is split in two by a beautiful switch to finally take a more electronica vibe. The second one is a very heady progressive tune created as a potion recipe where elements appears as it goes along.

Then, Sans Sucre brings a bright B side with different tracks. The first one is based on a fatty acid line, with ravy elements, spiced by analogue chords to raise it up. The second one, more melancholic, has an electro wave nature, punctuated by vocoder and radical changes.

Our friend Brume is in charge of the fifth episode of our serie. Originally from Corsica Brume moved in our loved city, Nantes, after making parties in Paris with Haribo House crew.  He joined recently Discrete Society which provide tasty parties around the city. His podcast is a dive through minimalism, efficiency and introspection. As it gets along, the synths are coming in the mix to emphasize the trance and add some dreamy feelings. The journey finish with some electro-disco tunes which makes you dance on your office chair. Have fun !
