El track es una combinación de diseño sonoro de Xarky, en la que se toma la grabación limpia de un tom de batería y se somete a una 'cirugía' agresiva: se recorta la cola (decay) con puertas de ruido (gates) para dejarlo seco, y se aplica saturación de cinta en las frecuencias altas y saturación de triodo en las bajas.
​Finalmente, mediante la técnica de capas (layering), ese tom procesado se fusiona con un bombo (kick) y varias texturas de DISTKICK. El resultado ya no suena a parche de batería ni a madera, sino a un híbrido electroacústico diseñado para golpear con la presión de aire de un tom, pero con la textura fría y afilada del metal real.

The track is a combination of Xarky sound design in which the clean recording of a drum tom is taken and subjected to aggressive surgery: the tail (decay) is trimmed with noise doors (gates) to leave it dry, and a saturation of tape at high frequencies and a saturation of triode at low frequencies is applied.
Finally, through layering, that processed tom is fused with a kick and various DISTKICK textures. The result no longer sounds like a drum patch or wood, but an electroacoustic hybrid designed to hit with the air pressure of a tom, but with the cold, sharp texture of the actual metal.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

БЫДЛØ: I live in Copenhagen, Denmarks capital and biggest city. The scene here is not great for harder sounds. We have a lot of mainstream Berlin style stuff which i never really got into although i have been going to a lot of it through the years. The best stuff here in Denmark is the Dark Psy/Forest scene out of Århus (the 2nd biggest city in Denmark). A lot of free parties out in the woods with really good music and a... really tough crowd lets say haha. many wild experiences there. So thats the local scene for me in a nutshell, the psychedelics has shaped me a lot! But i think the hypnotic German stuff has also brainwashed me a bit. I have produced Gabber for many years, it is my great passion throughout my life. Lived a bit in Amsterdam, went to many raves in the Netherlands, played some raves in Italy, Netherlands, Germany, and Russia. Through my contact with Russia i fell into Bochka, and i suppose the blend of dark psychedelic atmosphere and hypnotic relentless German groove just trapped me haha. It makes sense when i think about it. Have been caught in this hole since.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

БЫДЛØ: The set is mainly my own productions sprinkled with my fellow Distortion Alliance residents (Distkick, PäNGLØSS) tracks. It is just a simple DJ-set, no tricks or anything. Looking back on it now there is always things i would like to change or do different, but that is just the nature of it. Its a snapshot in time, meant to wither away as it hopefully connects with some souls in the process, no point in crying over spilt milk.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

БЫДЛØ: I think my sound since i started doing Bochka has maybe gone from more psychedelic towards a more relentless hypnotic sound? Hard for me to judge. Everything always changes, i leave it to the interested to look up and compare my work. My current ambition is to fuse elements from my Gabber past into Bochka. Stay tuned. If people are interested in my past work they can look up Rodox Trading. My Bochka music pales in comparison to the masters of the genre. My favourites, as luck would have it, are my fellow residents of Distortion Alliance, Distkick & PäNGLØSS. I cannot recommend them enough.
