Distortion is the live audio manifesto of 4 varied and immensely talented artists, all unified in the process of creating experimental Drum and Bass, but with the unparalleled volcanic bliss of a delicate fusion of other musical genres, unique graphics and decor and the precise marriage of audio and visual ferocity.
Playing live instruments while producing brilliant Drum and Bass sounds, it has been obvious from the start that Distortion is not your average, run-of-the-mill project and with a series of explosive live performance which are sure to follow, it’s only a matter of time before Distortion becomes a synonym for mind-blowing musical
experiences and explosive live performances. With so many music genres infused into this one, perfect sound, they appeal to a vast majority of music lovers.

The members’ each individual sounds and revolutionary talents all contribute to a confident, solid performance - with the ideals of continuously adding to their members, influences and insights to fuse a variation of genres together under the Sound Of Unity. Their debut track, “Call it what you want”, has an intense and energetic sound that makes you want to turn up the volume until your ears burst and has received much praise in a very short amount of time. After hearing the first track, there is no doubt that this group is on a level like no other, growing at a rate that makes it clear that Distortion is a force to be reckoned with.

With a driven, focused and dynamic team all working together to build this brand, fans can only expect great things. Calvin Meyer, Stephen du Plessis, Marius de Beer and Andre van der Merwe are the guys behind the music, ensuring that every aspect of Distortion is not only amazing to listen to, but also a great visual experience. Meliza Meyer is the creative mind behind all the styling, designing and merchandising, while Katherine Brookes handles all things publicity.

Distortion aim to successfully collaborate with several established South African talents in future and will be releasing their pioneering first six track EP soon.
