Waxing, is named after the lunar phase that crescendos into a Full Moon from the darkness of New. As a result, Waxing is a radiant techno track, with a funky acid bassline and a shoegaze inspired wall of sound that oscillates under a spell of reverb, growing brighter as the track goes on - similar to a waxing moon as it approaches Full.

Makinian (born in 2000, Yerevan) is a young and talented artist who began her creative journey in classical arts. From an early age, she studied piano for 9 years and pursued ballet.

In 2020, Makinian discovered the world of electronic music and instantly fell in love with the techno genre, particularly hypnotic and groove styles. Her performances stand out for their depth, hypnotic rhythms, and emotional intensity, rooted in his classical arts background.

Her story is a testament to creative freedom and a deep passion for art, making her a promising new figure in the world of techno music.

Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.

When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.
