This is what happens behind closed doors, a space to showcase both our resident brands, local selectors and upcoming and unsigned talent that regular grace our booth, to keep you both gassed for these nights and to put some limelight on the boundless selectors that make up the scene here and showcase some of the sound our little bar has to offer. There is something for everyone here, with Garage to Disco, Breaks to Minimal. We cater for everyone with a essence on the underground sound. You can catch pretty much all these DJs performing at our venue at some point over the year so this gives you a true capture of the sound of Distrikt and our artists and their events. Its Better Underground.

Number 35 of the lock in series comes from Al Bradley. As label manager & A&R at 3am Recordings, Al Bradley has been involved with house music (either on the dancefloor or behind the decks) for the last 20 years, kicking things off with visits to The Hacienda in his hometown of Manchester in the late 80’s & moving through the amazing northern club scene over the following years. As such, DJ influences range from Graeme Park, Tom Wainwright, Sasha, Ralph Lawson, Miles Hollway & Elliot Eastwick, James Holroyd, David Morales, Slam, Harri & Domenic Cappello are to name just a handful. 

Since the launch of 3am Recordings in June 2003, it has amassed an impressive following making it one of the most consistent deep/tech house labels in the UK. 
In the early days it gathered a lot of publicity worldwide and especially through europe thanks to features in I-DJ Magazine and DJ Mag. 

Al regularly represents 3am all across the UK and has hosted parties in Europe and amaerican at nights such as SONAR festival. Al also served a 18th Residency at the famous Bugged Out! at Sankeys in Manchester. As a producer he has put  records out under his own name for a number of years as well as Chemical Warfare and Audiotonic. Having already recorded and remixed for many of the top deep & tech house labels such as Cubism, Presslab Records, Baker Street Recordings, Heartbeat Revolutions, Paper Recordings, Bullet Dodge Records, Deepology Digital, Bounce House Recordings & more alongside his own 3am Recordings, with the discography continuing to grow & Al’s production skills ever more in demand. This mix features a lot of his own productions and remix's showcasing his deep, dubby and rolling style of house and techno.

We've been off the mix series for a few weeks but were stepping right back into it number 42 with a solid mix coming from Gaz Kitchen aka Gally. Previously Kadance resident who have hosted many parties at Distrikt over the years, he has been crafting his own sound of driving minimal and tech.

In 10 years Distrikt has become one of the rising stars of the underground scene and a institution for electronic music, bringing some of the best international artists to play on free entry shows and creating some unbelievably memorable nights that cross genres and boundary.  

Previous guests include legends such as Moodyman, Kenny Dope, Juan Atkins, Dan Ghenacia, Sonja Moonear, Optimo and DJ Tennis, to local talent and rising stars, including residents and parties from the likes of Albion, Mugpie, Limit, Joy Techno Sessions, Dirty Disco & More.
