About the CD:
002 of the Classic Mix CD Series and yet another absolute stand out classic. After getting into house at around 15, I guess my only source of info was Danny Rampling's seminal LGDP (Love Groove Dance Party) Saturday nights on Radio 1. However I can't remember Carter getting much coverage on there, yet he, much like Danny Tenaglia seemed to have a level of legend unlike most. This CD cemented my love of house music with an all might smash in the face. The tempo, the bass, the disco, the filters, and fucked up vocals... this was heavyweight. Nothing could compete at the time. I'll always remember driving to college with my 2 nerdy class mates and insisting they played this CD in the car. I'm raving in the back and they are like "What the fuck is this shit, turn it down!". It's with immense pleasure that DJ's like Sneak and Carter seem to be booking all the massive clubs and parties again. I'm not so keen on the whole 'I'm a House Gangster' vibe... but this is as bad as it gets.

About Mehlor
Established in 2017, Chris Melaugh first emerged on to the scene with his track ‘Swerve’ reaching a top position in the beatport charts. Ever since then Mehlor has forged a well-respected presence within the electronic underground scene. 
 
Starting out as a young raver whilst studying at Leeds university, Chris soon gained his identity on the Leeds underground circuit regularly playing and throwing parties, stapling events at Distrikt and 212. Leeds is also where Chris found his love for the minimal sound, watching artists such Sonja Moonear, Craig Richards. As a side project from productions Mehlor, plus artists Cateran, Modec, started up the label Syntaxx which select defining compositions from underground producers to showcase through there label. To keep up with bookings he moved base to London where he has gained a residency with reputable events brand Hyve. 
 
Mehlor has articulated an impressive catalogue of digital releases, with labels such as HedzUp, Piv, Kina Music, Rendr and Talman Records all pushing the Mehlor sound. Releases have also been materialised into wax on vinyl dons Blind Vision and Modula selling out and further adding to his increasingly imposing portfolio of releases. Radio appearances at Bloop, Ibiza Global showcasing worldwide popularity.
 
The sound delves deeper into the territories of house music, Mehlor has an instantly recognisable sound and his punchy, intricate and melodic deep tech style is catching the attention of some the scenes most influential DJs such as, Chris Stussy, Rossi, Paulo Rocco, Dewalter, Cosmin and Sakro to name a few. When he’s not locked away in his studio, Mehlor is travelling UK-Europe with gigs in Sweden, Switzerland and cities across the UK.

Josh Demello stepping up for the latest lock-in mix bringing a power hour and a half showcasing the true Ruckus24 sound. 

Hailing from the Yorkshire's capital of Leeds, Josh Demello started his journey at illegal warehouse raves built around the Acid House sound during the late 90s, he has built himself a name from the beginning. Whether it be promoting parties, showing support for his local scene as a clubber or playing sets, Josh has proven himself to be a worthy player. Starting out with residencies at venues such as Mint Club, The Warehouse, Club Mission in Leeds and later the legendary club Sankeys in Manchester and became the youngest Ministry of Sound Resident at the age of 18 at the brands club in Egypt. Having played alongside some of the world’s biggest names, Demello has earned his stripes as a DJ playing at some of the most respected clubs on the party haven of Ibiza: Privilege, Amnesia and Sankeys to name but a few.

Most recently Josh started his own event Ruckus 24 which has been putting on some incredible parties hosting at unique venues, Mint Warehouse and of course our own Distrikt with an incredible NYE party last year with Julian Perez.
