Rollmottle aka Anthony Puglisi's signature atmospheric disco sound has been stirring up a “quiet storm” of late and he is continuously evolving his synth/gear driven musicality with each release. I’ve been a fan since the mid-2000s so after consulting with my trusted friend DJ Beatbroker I knew a Rollmottle remix would be a perfect fit for Cruise Control.

Influenced by the sounds of early hip hop and electro born on the NYC streets of his youth, Eli Escobar burst onto the party scene in the 90s. Armed with a vast knowledge of both popular and underground music, he quickly gained a following and a reputation as an innovative, influential DJ. In the past several years, Escobar has become widely known for his remixes and his skills have been sought after by artists such as Britney Spears, Chromeo, MIA and Holy Ghost!, among others. This is a faithful recreation of a vintage re-edit originally on the Hot Tracks label and is very rare! My DJ partner Steve Shakewell put in a request that i re-do this edit and I assumed it would be a breeze but it was really tough! I can't imagine how this was done on tape in the early 80's! Anyways, it's a great tune and a great edit and now you can spin it!
