Out January 28th on Dither Down

Being in love is rad. When you’re deep in it, all you want to do is share that feeling with the world. That’s exactly what Orthy has done on the E.M.I.L.Y. EP, his second musical missive and testament to his wife. The four songs on E.M.I.L.Y. are the resulting work of months of writing and recording at the couple’s home in Austin, TX. Drawing on their mutual love of all things house music, power pop, and new wave, E.M.I.L.Y. plays out as the soundtrack to the couple's history. Continuing with the message of his debut EP Sueños, the songs on E.M.I.L.Y. are steeped in the timeless tableaux of youth, life, and the carefree confidence love allows. 

Released on NYC imprint Dither Down, E.M.I.L.Y. also boasts a remix by Greco Roman’s own Baio, aka Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend.

Rollmottle aka Anthony Puglisi's signature atmospheric disco sound has been stirring up a “quiet storm” of late and he is continuously evolving his synth/gear driven musicality with each release. I’ve been a fan since the mid-2000s so after consulting with my trusted friend DJ Beatbroker I knew a Rollmottle remix would be a perfect fit for Cruise Control.

This is a faithful recreation of a vintage re-edit originally on the Hot Tracks label and is very rare! My DJ partner Steve Shakewell put in a request that i re-do this edit and I assumed it would be a breeze but it was really tough! I can't imagine how this was done on tape in the early 80's! Anyways, it's a great tune and a great edit and now you can spin it!
