Avidus is back on Hommage with their single ‘Dunes’ including remixes from Jesse Trinidad and Oberheimer. The duo, AKA Marc Wolf and Fritz Wagner, hail from Kiel in Germany and bring very different but complementary influences to the project. Marc is a DJ and self-taught drummer and guitar player, while Fritz is committed to music theory and composition. Their distinctive productions have already caught the attention of label bosses at Afterlife and Crosstown Rebels. Together they are a remarkable unit, seemingly destined to make dance music that tantalises the emotions as well as making the dance floor move.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new series at Innervisions called “Quantum Spits”.
House music has been around for decades, and throughout its evolution, it has spawned numerous sub-genres. “Quantum Spits” aims to explore and celebrate this diversity by dedicating each release to a particular aspect of this thing we call House. 
Our goal is to provide a platform for both established and up-and-coming producers to express their unique take on house music while also paying homage to the roots of the genre.

We are kicking off the series with Skatman, the Tunisian-born producer, DJ and label head. On „Rewarped“ he slams old school hip-hop samples into some raw and pumping house tracks, providing a fresh and up to date connection between these distinct musical eras to deliver six new cuts of raw concise electronic music. 

“Taking familiar elements and giving them a fresh twist,” says Skatman aka Aziz Haddad.

Four unique tracks, for different moments in time: Yet More delivers ‘Brenda Bradley’, testifying his penchant for weaving distinctive samples into irresistible harmonies and groove.

Up first is the titular ‘Brenda Bradley’, which glides as smoothly as the name falls off the tongue. Joined by chunks of chaotic kicks which punch mightily, a solar-tinged melody gleans beneath the vocal sample to find ourselves stationed in a prime-time battle position.

Upercent makes his debut on Frau Blau with 'Mongolics EP'.

Sonic experimentalist Upercent has made quite a name for himself in the last few years.
Bursting onto the scene over a decade ago, his singular vision and avant-garde style have won him plaudits from across the musical spectrum. Signed to an impressive number of high profile labels including Innervisions, Watergate, Kompakt and more. Upercent continues to delight.

Opening with the rollicking disco of title track 'Mongolics' industrial drums and metallic percussion are the perfect milieu for the sinister male vocals that drive the track, with squelchy keys hooking you in midway.

On the remix duties, Sam Shure takes a leaf out of 2ManyDJs book and dubs us out with his 'Drum Treat' — Finishing the pack off, another original, 'Begine' Tough 808 kicks and scattergun percussion framework some wonky computer sounds and repeating arps.
