'Passing Through' was born behind the emotions that these times of hardship bring to all of us. A track written to express hope, and to remind us there is a light that emerges in the darkness.

Daniel Figueiredo also known as Yøhkan, is a DJ/Producer and composer based in Toronto, Canada. With a strong belief that sound is made to tell a story, he is guided to bring music full of innovative synths and a depth that will leave the listeners travelling their own minds. Introduced to the world of music production at a late age, he quickly managed to rise as a respected artist. Since then, some of his releases have been supported by some of todays respected DJ’s in the music industry. Feeling and emotions run through his melodies, accompanied by baselines and synths that will not leave you indifferent.

The fast rising Tryger is next up on Siona Records with a superb new three tracker. It comes hot on the heels of plenty of big tunes on labels like Intricate Records and is another fine showcase of his skills. 

Parseltongue opens up with seven sublime minutes of scintillating music. The drums are deep and spiritual vocals add another layer of magic that lifts you up to the heavens. Sandstorm again goes long on smooth, serene and enacting drums, with lush woodblock hits and arching pads adding a grand sense of scale. Last of all, Lights On Me brings another spine tingling vibe with the rippling synths and angelic vocal. It's a rich arrangement built from many supple layers and is sure to get a great reaction in the club.

Ziger lands back on ICONYC this week with a brand-new single entitled 'Feel the Bass'. The Greek producer continues to be one of the top tier progressive house artists with continued support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, along with releases on Eleatics, Beatfreak, Sudbeat and his own Eat My Hat imprint. 

'Feel The Bass' finds Ziger at his creative best with a driving, hypnotic production that's nicely dialed in or the dance floor. Punchy beats and a full, driving groove anchor the piece, as vibrant tones and spacey effects adorn the framework. The main break hits suddenly and its astral charm quickly saturates your pleasure centers, before melting down to a cavernous reservoir as the beats drop for a storming finale. 

The first remix of 'Feel the Bass' comes courtesy of LA based producer Anakim who returns to the label with a deep melodic remix here. The US artist reshapes the original elements into something deeper and more melodic spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. Superb rework from Anakim. 

The third and final interpretation comes from label debutants Propellar. The Berlin based duo follow excellent releases on MUKKE, Katz & Kauz and Family Piknik with a brilliant interpretation here. Deep, compelling and acutely mysterious, it's deep melodic qualities and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs and vocal edits steal the air, before a one-minute break takes you further into a haze of psychedelic audio, perfectly setting up a groovy finale. A brilliant remix from Propellar that's likely destined for the sets of the big boy brigade. Highly recommended.

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
