This must have been one of the biggest tracks in most of my dj sets of last year and I'm super excited it will now be finally available for everybody" says our label manager @pedromercado about "Gideon", the title track of our newest Chrom EP. 

Pedro created this track during the pandemic in collaboration with @jg_outsider and started to test it with big success in his gigs as soon as the pandemic was over. Subsequently, Pedro Mercado and JG Outsider produced also some more tracks together, and so this EP was born!

The third track on the release, "Arcadia", is pure Progressive House bliss. 

During the pandemic Pedro Mercado got in contact with the Spanish artist Javier Gómez when they joined the same new booking agency EMA (Electronic Music Anthem). Javi is not a new name in the electronic music scene. He was formerly known as 'Javi Golo', a dj/producer with an impressive and long international career going back to the progressive trance of the 90's. During the pandemic Javi worked on his comeback as 'JG Outsider', a digital and analogue energetic live act with a melodic and progressive techno sound, combined with indie dance influences. This resulted in releases on labels such as Krafted Underground, Nein, @Tanzgemeinschaft, and yes also Chrom Recordings. He is now also the label manager of @UnderTheTrees.ofc, the new Indie Dance sublabel of Tanzgemeinschaft.

And lo, as they traversed the globe in search of only the very finest in electronic music to set the pulses racing, the Selador pleasure seekers found themselves in Sweden. And here they happened upon Floormagnet, a Stockholm-based collective, huddled round an imposing bank of synths, hammering out a tune so addictive that there was no other option than to sign it on the spot. 
But hark, what sensuous sorcery is this drifting into our ears from across the city? Why, ‘tis only our long-time friend Zoo Brazil, he of Seladorian classics ‘Thunderstorm’ and ‘Across My Heart’ fame.

Back in Blighty, frazzled but happy, the seekers are on a mission. The hypnotic original version and pulsating ZB interpretation need a bedfellow to complete the hat trick. A certain someone who can imbue the spirit of the track but with a deep, dreamy je ne sais quoi. Enter stage left, right on cue – why it’s only Circulation! 
Mission accomplished. SEL 164 complete. No half measures.

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. It's a universal language with the ability to express what can't be expressed through words or thought. It can induce strong emotions, alter our states of consciousness and let us experience reality in a different way. It can draw us into the present moment, where just the music exists - unfolding through time, moment by moment. When we let go and merge into the auditory sensations, it takes us on an inner journey. Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
