Each year, Sounds of Khemit opens a new chapter in its mythological journey. Following in the footsteps of Osiris and Medjed, we now call upon Khonsu—the ancient Egyptian god of the moon, time, and travel.
Known as the Wanderer, Khonsu embodies movement and transformation. He governs the passage of time, the cycles of night and day, and the unseen energies that guide us through transition. As a lunar deity, he illuminates the darkness not with blinding force, but with subtle radiance—inviting exploration, introspection, and timeless rhythm.
SoK042 – Khonsu reflects this spirit in sound:

Marking his return to Mind Against’s HABITAT imprint, German DJ/producer Sam Shure steps forward with ‘Best Of Me’ - a sophisticated four-tracker that reflects his continued evolution as a producer and performer**. Known for fusing adventurous electronic design with melody-driven storytelling, Shure’s latest EP captures both the energy of the dancefloor and the introspective moods that define his sound. Title track ‘Best Of Me’ opens with warmth and precision, balancing vivid melodies with propulsive rhythm and infectious vocals to form an emotionally charged journey. ‘CV Winds’ dives deeper into hypnotic territory, layering fluid percussion and enveloping synths in a piece built for late-night connection. Get Physical Music proudly announces the return of its landmark Body Language series with Volume 27, curated by Dutch producer Helsloot. The album will be released on November 14th, with a launch event on November 13th at Amsterdam’s Melkweg.

At the heart of Get Physical’s ethos has been Body Language, a cultural marker within electronic music for over two decades making it one of the longest-standing and impactful mix series tied to a label. Each volume a deliberate projection serving as both clubland cartography and singular artistic perspective.

What began as a pioneering DJ mix series has evolved into a platform for artist albums, each edition offering a snapshot of underground currents and their future directions. Past curators have included Dixon, DJ Hell, WhoMadeWho, Francesco Tristano, Monkey Safari, Yulia Niko, and the label’s founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Since its founding in 2002, Get Physical has embodied a taut, moving aesthetic; when the European electronic sound was fragmenting, the label balanced on the argumentative axis of club culture with Body Language serving not only as archival, but as a unifying thread.

An early platform for cross-genre experimentation, Body Language has long celebrated the permeability of dance music. From Matthew Dear’s minimalist pop fusions to WhoMadeWho’s blend of disco and indie aesthetics, each edition has expanded the vocabulary of what club music can be.

That willingness to stretch the form is part of why both Get Physical and Body Language continue to resonate today.

Volume 27 marks a significant moment in the series’ progression. Helsloot brings his emotive, melodic house sound to the format; a style that has earned him over 600 million streams on his breakout track “Because You Move Me” with Tinlicker, as well as releases on Anjunadeep, Domino, This Never Happened, and Ritter Butzke. His debut album “Never Tried” (2024) displayed his melodic instincts and further positioned him as a producer capable of balancing precision with deep emotional resonance.

1. How would you describe your sound?

Both: “Groovy, sometimes a bit deeper but it is always about the rolling beat.”

2. Favorite club moment?

Joshi: “Our underground rave at Stockholm. A packed sauna-like and sweaty floor in an old unused warehouse. This is how the raves in the 90s must have been.”

Andre: “I always remember this one Jägerlein session at Magdalena. It was one of our first gigs and the vibe was very special this night. There was some kind of energy on the floor and it went crazy.”

3. What keeps you going?

Both: “Our love for electronic music and the experiences we are gaining during our gigs and parties.”

4. What makes you laugh?

Andre: “When Joshi is drunk at the end of a night.”

Joshi: “Nothing beats a drunken Stache.”

5. Where would you love to play live?

Andre: “KaterBlau/Sisyphos.”

Joshi: “KaterBlau since I spend too much time there.”

6. Favorite DJ setup?

Both: “Two CDJ’s and a pioneer mixer.”

7. What do you listen to beside electronic music?

Joshi: “Nearly everything from Jazz over 80’s to metal. But mostly old school stuff.”

Andre: “Basically hip hop and old school German rap, some rock stuff as well.”

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
